Really pissed at people who chat in the library
Omg, sry about that. Same thing happened to me last week during LR and I was so pissed. Having it happen though during a RC section is much worse.
well, this was the last of my 2 completely fresh PTs *this whole year*. i'd been saving it for months.
completely ruined the "PT experience" esp as couple of times i just stopped the watch and stared into the blank until it could quiet down. but the rhythm was all broken. felt really unfocused the whole RC and couldn't get to the last passage.
i can't think how this will not be my worst RC ever. what i feel more bad about is that it was precious becuause it was fresh.

From everyone I know who's done TFA, if your heart isn't in it it is almost impossible to get through. It's hard enough even if you're psyched. I would chill until you're sure, unless they have a defer - or apply, I suppose, if it's non-binding, and see where the chips fall. But careful there.
Yeah, that's my thought. Like, I'm pretty sure I want to teach at some point, and I'm pretty committed to social justice organizations, but I don't want to pull the trigger just yet.
Out of curiosity, if you do TFA, would it be your first time teaching or have you done any teaching before?
I have teaching experience doing volunteer stuff over the summer and being a TA in college, and public speaking experience through speech and debate, but I understand that this is woefully inadequate prep for TFA.
Ayy-- I had experience on the debate circuit as well. Woot! And yeah I have been thinking about this too and after seeing how a substantial portion of the incoming class at HYS is not KJD, I wonder how big of a difference the difference in those scores would be (for my position) and if you told me I could go to a t14 next year or go to HYS if I waited a year, I personally would totally wait the one year. Of course, there is no formula and none of that is necessarily guaranteed unless I got deferred or something.

damn that sucks. I think as long as you got through the material eventually thats what matters. I had a similar experience when Pokemon GO became a huge deal.

At what score is it just flat out dumb to retake? Like, no matter what your PT average is, at what point should you just call it a day and not retake?
177, maybe 176? Unless you're just trying to get a 180. It seems like once you're at or above that level, whatever's stopping you from getting in or getting a scholarship isn't gonna be your LSAT score.

yeah, gonna go with 176. once your at/above the 75ths for every schools, it's pretty pointless unless you're Shemp.

somehow held myself together and scored LG and both LR.
-5 total so far.
don't think i can score RC at all.

Fourthing(is that even a word) this. To be fair I'd settle for a 175 as well but I definitely wouldn't be retaking a 176.
172-174 would be the meh zone for me where I can either not retake and be happy with paying sticker for CCN, or retake for a better chance at H (I'd prefer the latter).
Anything 171 and below and I'll have a third take.

I'll be pretty stoked on anything above 170. Still aiming to pull a Shemp on gameday though

If I can score anything above +2 of my PT average I'm just gonna keep on drinking til I'm blind....
I managed to end up with something that's -9 from my PT average last Oct, and that really lowered my test day expectations

So
What's going to be the first thing you do after the LSAT? I'm going to fix me up a nice strong glass of vodka and oj.
Several glasses

I'm normally pretty brain dead after. Probably put a dip in for the drive back, go to my GF's house, spark it, and maybe just nap. Then wake up and drink away all thoughts.

Drive (2 hrs...) home, head to the football game, drink a healthy number of beers.

Fuck it, breaking into however many of the last PTs I feel like for drilling for the past couple of days. Tbh unlike LG and RC, repeated LR does fuck-all for me practice wise. One of the hardest parts of LR for me is quickly reading and understanding all the stims/arguments, and for repeats that element is eliminated.
I'd been sleeping in because of the flu, now my brain hasn't been letting me fall asleep at a decent hour. I woke up at 6:30 today and feel foggy af. I hope I can get this sorted out in the next couple of days lmao.

Just did Dec 2015 games not worrying too much about time. Probably spent 20 minutes doing that third game. I pretty much guessed on one of them so that I could still say I did the section in 35:00. Looking over that last question now... #15... yeah I think my gut inclination on it was right... I just went for what seemed easiest to accommodate.

how much time you take to finish a 26q LR section? i find that i almost always run into time issues with 26q vs 25 q.
same issue with not falling asleep early enough.

For anyone done PTing, make sure you do as many 70s games sections as you can even if untimed. They seem to have a trend of throwing in a super weird/unconventional game. They aren't necessarily always that hard, but they are just weird.

Not sure I will follow through with this, though. The last thing I need is the temptation to gamble away my pain if I do badly on the test.
