For the people who use the 7sage app, what do you do when you are in a public place like the library where making noise is frowned upon? I like using the app but take the majority of my PTs in the library.

First of all - I just got a call from a New Haven # and thought it was Yale. ASHA, STOP PULLING AT MY HEARTSTRINGS.JackelJ wrote:I do the same. And yes, I'm pretty sure its allowed on your desk. Someone told me during his first take the proctor interrupted him mid-LG and told him that the watch was only allowed on the desk and not on his wrist. I don't think this is typical and it was pretty bitchy to interrupt during a section instead of on break or something. If you're worried just ask the proctor on test day. It seems like they make up their own rules sometimes.zacboro wrote: 1) On game day, typically, will I have this 5 second interval between sections to hurry up and reset my watch?
2) Also, is it okay if I set my analog watch on my desk to look at instead of wearing it? (I know desk space will be a factor, but does anyone know if this is allowed or not?)
Secondly - I would recommend just setting it at 12:00 for the first three sections and then resetting it during the break. You don't have time to really set it back to 12:00 before every section. It will frazzle tf out of you. For section 1: it'll end at 12:35. For section 2: 1:05ish. For section 3: 1:40. It's not that bad to keep track of. By game day, you should feel comfortable enough with timing without having to rely on your watch.
Jackel - for 7Sageing in public, I use headphones.

Yes, you can put it on your desk. I recommend it.

You sure you aren't lacking something else?I<3ScholarlySweets! wrote:holy fuck since when did the absence of "stupid mistakes" imply "going zero on PTs"? If you miss questions NOW, don't say it was due to a "stupid mistake." No. Questions missed NOW are a result of incomplete mastery. I'm missing a total of 2-4 on the last 10 PTs and no, they aren't a result of "stupid mistakes." It's because I haven't mastered certain concepts, or I misunderstood the question stem, or I rushed. Those aren't "stupid mistakes." They are imperfection on my part; lack of mastery.

Cool, guess I'll have to dig out my non-noise canceling headphones to use. I imagine I'll jump every time I hear "STOP" directly in my ears haha

Whelp I definitely wore mine on my wrist. I also took a sip of 5 hour energy INSIDE THE TESTING ROOM because I'm hard like that.

Unless you have something else you really, really need to write about, I would put it in your PS. If you have something that's going to jump off a page like that, it should probably be a highlight of your app and just just highlightedDirigo wrote:Don't do an extracurricular addenda. Sounds like a good PS topic or sub-topic though.

I wouldn't worry about the lounge. Not even the Sept study thread was lounged. The Sept waiter thread was lounged before score release, which is like super rare. At like 600 pages.

If you set volume low enough, people don't seem to care. This is when I forget my headphones. Let's be honest, even library isn't that quiet.JackelJ wrote:For the people who use the 7sage app, what do you do when you are in a public place like the library where making noise is frowned upon? I'm also currently doing most difficult RC and LG. Gotta keep reminding myself that ~10 min on these games is solid, but it's hard not to get antsy. Feel like the higher * games are more about set up and intelligent brute forcing, but still feel like the 2* games that take you too long are the most dangerous
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
