Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Just took PT71, 5-section with an experimental LG section from the 50s
-10, 173
-2 LR, -3 RC, -5 LG, -0 LG on the exp
Lolcry at the LG score. I ran out of time and had to guess on the last three questions. I'm glad my PT scores are looking better, but looks like I'll be drilling LG like crazy for the next week or so.

Hi all,
I have been scoring horrible lately, I'm not sure whats wrong but I find myself misreading everything even if it's untimed.... It's so so so so weird, like I just did a LG game, my diagram was perfect but I misread every question stem and got all wrong. I can't finish LG/LR or RC. It's frustrating. Maybe it's because Im away from family plus I have the flu, everytime I go oustside I get a headache but where I live is to noisy so I can't stay inside.
I'm starting to freak out, I've worked too hard for too long to fail when I'm at the finish line.

Have you taken any days off this week? You might be burning out. Everyone has an off day. I wouldn't take it as an indication that you are going to perform badly - especially since you have the flu right now! The flu always makes people do silly things.sashafierce wrote:Hi all,

I would say being sick is definitely affecting your performance. I went through a similar freak out last week-I was sick but still trying to study and my scores were abysmal. Just try to rest up now and plan out your study schedule for the next week to make the most of the time you have left. That experience also made me realize how much being well-rested can affect my score! If you feel like studying while you are sick, just take the results with a grain of salt, and do your best to try to recover as quickly as you can. Remind yourself of all of the hard work you put in. That doesn't just go away, even though it might feel that way!

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
What are ya'll doing for your last week of studying?
I got PT 72 & 73 still fresh and am debating whether or not to take them in the beginning of the week over the next couple days, then just review and do some sections leading up to test day. Or to spread them out a bit more and take 73 on Wednesday before and that being my last PT. I am going to try and take one of them at my testing center for sure though.
Last three PT's have been 69, 70, 71 and I scored 170, 167, 167 respectively. My normal routine is PT one day then intensive review the next, and repeat.
Curious what everyone else is up to this last week.

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Thanks for the help guys, I also realized that my problem may also be that I started back drinking coffee. I stopped drinking coffee about 3 months ago and started back a week or so ago. I just realized that I've been drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day (to keep warm...silly I knw). I stopped drinking coffee because it made me a little to hyper and all of a sudden I'm aimlessly drinking 2-3 cups a day. No more coffee for me!

Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Are you taking June? lol that's so much. But if it works for you...mornincounselor wrote:Anyways here's my plan for the rest of our time, everything I'm doing timed is with 32 minute sections:
1. Do every LG game one more time. 1-38 by type, the remainder by full sections timed.
2. Do 5 RC -> LR and 5 LR -> RC full timed sections to ensure I don't have issues with that transition.
3. Do pt72 6-section full timed plus intensive blind review.
4. One final read through of the Trainer
I have 4-5 PTs left with 5 sections each then I'm done. I think I'm taking Thursday and Friday off.

Whenever I see the Cheerios commercial where the bee is dancing with Usher, and the bee says "Did you know bees can communicate by dancing?" - I'm like yeah fuck you bee. I knew that. THANKS LSAC.

So I'm off the coffee, went through a fresh timed LR section and went -2 this is my second -2 ever (went -2 on PT 70) a few days ago.
