With enough practice under timed conditions, timing should just be second nature. The 15 in 15 minute rule does not always apply and so id suggest simply trying to recognize the difficult questions vs the easy ones. You probably just need more timed practice.

When im drilling LR, i usually just focus on understanding the question and answers perfectly and ignore timing.

guys, my LR skills honestly disappeared... I went from consistently getting 20-21, now I am getting 16-17 on atlesat one of the two sections, and also getting like 19 or maybe if I am lucky 20 on the other.. I dont know wtf is happening.. of course it all falls apart when this thing is in a fuckin week

I noticed this happened to me when I was speeding up too much. As my confidence increased, so did my speed, but then I started speeding up too much and my accuracy suffered. Make sure you analyze the root of your mistakes. You'll bounce back!!

My previous highest score was 173. Yesterday I took a PT and scored 164, so I'm a little concerned about the huge fluctuations. I found that the last passage on PT73 really threw me, and I completely bombed the games section for 72 and 73. For those of you who had a hard time with those games, how are you preparing/adjusting your prep? I'm thinking about re-doing the Rare games Cambridge set.

Any ideas on how I can get my hands on just the LG sections from PT 60-PT 66? I don't want to buy the test again as I already bought them once in the 10 Actual, Official etc., but I was dumb and did not make clean copies of them before I took the PTs.
To this date, it is just that LG section is what represents the vast abyss between me and the 170. Thus I figured (as Dirigo suggested earlier on this thread) I should just take like 10 LG sections and redo them a few times. I still haven't touched PT 67-73 so those games I can make copies of tomorrow.

Have you seen 7Sage's video for the 4th game of 73? It's like a 20-min video and he gives some really good advice about recent games.

thanks for responding! I usually waste most of my time on necessary assumption questions, trying to find the premise, conclusion, and gap. Necessary assumption questions seem to have a longer stimulus or more to think about. I even negate the answer choices and stop to think whether it will ruin the argument, and that seems to take time as well

I think it's the Bible that says that we should only use the negation technique thing after eliminating 3 of the choices.

Then again, I guess yesterday wasn't really relaxing for me at all; we had a huge party and I was running around all day. I want to take another day off but I just don't think I can afford that.

Because there's so little time left and there are a few tests I still want to look at, in order to avoid burn out I was considering doing some of them just as timed sections. Like maybe a section or two at a time, timed, so I would do the whole test but in a less tiring way. I know my scores would not be entirely indicative, but I'm thinking it would still be good practice.

In the exact same boat. I'm planning on taking just 1 more full PT + experimental section, and then just going through the other test(s) I want to look at as timed sections. I think it is much more detrimental to burn out than it is to forgo a PT or two.

Just did it yesterday. Some answer choices can easily be eliminated from previous work as well as looking back on previous scenarios. Otherwise, ya, you're going to have to work through it on the remaining AC's.

Help me out TLSers, should I withdraw and take February instead? Already decided to take another year off (only 22) to get another year of work experience under my belt before applying. This is my highest test score so far, but more consistency in LR and RC would put me consistently near 168, which is my goal score.

If you are already planning to wait a year then definitely postpone (assuming 165 is not your target)....why wouldnt you take the time to study longer and nail the test?

Checking in from a break from the LSAT. Started prepping again a bit ago. Last few PT scores have been 169, 171, 172, and 173. I'm just trying to dust the rust off, and get back in to form.

You're a retaker, right? I remember seeing you around. Did you take September?

I took it in June, signed up for September, and pulled out last minute. The beginning of the semester was really hectic, and I got almost no studying done.

I usually fill in each answer after completing an LG or RC passage, but have been trying varying methods with LR.
