I was planning on bringing it back after we got our scores back. We need to compare scores and pencils that were used to attain those scores.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Omg, I missed this thread. <333

I just used whatever I found around the house, but I was surprised at how long I had to look to find a plain old non-mechanical pencil.

The stakes just got higher for my score. Gotta represent the Palomino HB well.

Tri-Conderoga is going to take credit for my 5+ point boost.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:THIS IS HAPPENING.SteelPenguin wrote:I was planning on bringing it back after we got our scores back. I used the Ticonderoga Noir. We're definitely compiling Pencil-Score data to determine which pencil is best. And from this thread, there's plenty of evidence that shows how good pencils CAUSE high scores.SteelPenguin wrote:Tri-Conderoga is going to take credit for my 5+ point boost.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:THIS IS HAPPENING.SteelPenguin wrote:I was planning on bringing it back after we got our scores back. We have too small a sample size to even derive a reliable correlation.PourMeTea wrote:Correlation is not causation, bros

Yeah, but I didn't study for this retake, I just switched pencils. The pencil is probably the primary reason for any score changes.PourMeTea wrote:Correlation is not causation, bros

Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
I'm pretty sure that I erased part of my answer sheet. My poor pencil choice may result in the computer being unable to discern whether or not I filled out C or D. I'm pretty sure this might result in the LSAT factory being shut down for a few days resulting in our scores being released on July 5th. If only I had seen this thread first

Ladies and gents,
Apparently there is a sale going on at --LinkRemoved--. According to the email I got today, use the coupon code "GENERALS" between 07/02/2013 and 07/16/2013 to get 20% off all General's products.
Thought I'd spread the news.

Palomino HB got me a 175. Surely it was just the pencil.SteelPenguin wrote:I was planning on bringing it back after we got our scores back. We need to compare scores and pencils that were used to attain those scores.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Omg, I missed this thread. <333
(This was not intended so much as a humblebrag as a me still being a crazy person wants to convert everyone to the best motherfucking LSAT pencil in existence. HB, represent.)
I guess my time in this thread is up. Unless my extremely wise pencil advice is needed in the future. If I read about any of you jerks using a god damn Ticonderoga on your tests, I'm going to be so disappointed. ;|

Word of advice, several people came to a consensus that they smudge too much for using for the bulk of the test. I used a Blackwing 602 for the writing portion, however.louierodriguez wrote:My blackwing - 602's just came in the mail.

Palomino caused you to under perform and only resulted in a 175, a 4 point boost. Triconderoga gave me a 4 point boost as well. I'm not impressed by your Palomino evidence.

Re: What #2 Pencil Should I use?
Just got my orange Palominos in the Mail today, and took my first PT with them - 167. I feel like these are the ones that I'm going to wreck PT70 with... Thank you for the suggestions everyone.
Anyone see the white girl in the back of that classroom just staring. lol

I'd like to co-sign SteelPenguin's recommendation of the Tri-Cons.
I over-performed my PT average on June 2013 by 3 points, and for that I credit my Tri-Cons. They are boss and will make you an LSAT ninja.
