I've not hit my goal score as yet. The test is a little over a month away. Goal is a 173 and I've peaked at 171, and seem to have trouble sliding out of the 166-169 range and into 170+ consistently.
At what point do I hit the delay button?but back on the grind tomorrow

I got the watch!! And I really like it!! Not that it's gotten any use lately but I like it!twiix wrote: I'd recommend getting used to a regular watch far in advance of the real test. It's a big change if you're used to the easy to read 180/MM face.
I'd also recommend something like this watch : https://www.amazon.com/Casio-MRW200H-7E ... ting+bezel
It's cheap, and the bezel easily rotates. Just put the marker on the bezel when your time starts, and it's easy enough to track 35 minutes. You could likely even use a sharpie and make colors on the bezel to show your 10/5/0 minute marks.

Just got the book for tests 42-51 and got a 172 on 42. Average on the newer ones has been 167 so definitely feeling like they're not representative, especially LG. Have to be careful about using them but mixing in ones from the 70s and saving some new ones for the last couple weeks. Just a heads up!

Yup! Its just like over-training at the gym. If you dont take rest days here or there, not only will you burn out, but your performance will decrease literally until you rest up some.littlewing67 wrote:Jealous of you guys! Has any more info came out regarding watches for Sept?
More specifically, has LSAC specifically mentioned that although the Perfect Score Watch is considered an Analog watch it is banned anyway?

Been re-hitting the books to prep for september (3rd retake). Have gone -0 on my last 4 LR sections, but they're sections I've done before. I don't remember the questions, but still, redo's. I choose to believe I'm just really good at LR now haha

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
Well there's a case for testing condition simulation and I just proved it.
PT 67
RC: -6
LGExperimental: -1
LR1: -1
BREAK
LG: -4
LR2: -4
Total: 166
So I'm confident in saying that this is what I'll get if everything goes wrong on the big day. First, had some major stress in the AM about testing location (first time I wasn't taking it in my house) and roommate issues that resulted in me starting only at 11:45, even though I was planning on starting at 10. My breakfast energy surge, resultantly, totally missed the start of the test. I also was rattled, and so it took me 12 questions on RC to really get my head in the game. Unsurprisingly, 5/6 incorrect Qs were in the first 12 questions.
I definitely hit my stride before the break, and then got totally walloped by the break itself. I had packed a Lara Bar to try and help bridge the energy gap for the last bit of the test, but I had already eaten half of it at the start of the test to get an energy surge for RC. That, plus getting slightly flustered for no good reason on the first game led to me panicking and totally losing my tempo. Interestingly, I did not find the zoning game all that hard once I figured out WTF it was asking. The last LR I KNOW was all due to energy issues, because there were multiple questions I had to reread to figure out WTF they were asking and how it related to the ACs. That, plus a -10 curve, led to this shitbox of a performance.
Altogether don't feel too horrible given everything though. I'm choosing to focus on the fact that I managed a -1 on LR when my head was in it, and a -4 when it was the last section of the test and I was totally zonked. Improvements to come are:
- Doing a warmup
- Better timing simulation/energy timing for the break
- Drilling RC because -6 WTF
- Buying some damn dried fruit

Just got a 177 on PT 52, my highest so far. I know it is not one of the most recent PTs, so probably not as difficult..Still feeling encouraged.

I know this sounds silly but i think im really good at logic games. However i never go -0 on a section so clearly i have room for improvement. How do you clear up those tiny mistakes in LG ? I do blind review and will understand why i got it wrong but sometimes i feel like unless i do scenarios for each game i wont get each question right.

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
Some drilling results for strengthen/weaken questions. Skewed towards easier questions, but this is mostly drilling to re-establish familiarity after over a year of not looking at the LSAT.
Strengthen
Difficulty 1 questions 19/22 (86.36%)
Difficulty 2 questions 13/13 (100%)
Difficulty 3 questions 7/7 (100%)
Difficulty 4 questions 3/5 (60%)
Weaken
Difficulty 1 questions 21/21 (100%)
Difficulty 2 questions 11/11 (100%)
Difficulty 3 questions 3/3 (100%)
Difficulty 4 questions 4/4 (100%)
Overall timed drilling results to date for (necessary/sufficient/flaw/strengthen/weaken Q's)
Difficulty 1 99/105 = 94.28%
Difficulty 2 66/66 = 100% (Very happy about this)
Difficulty 3 42/48 = 87.5%
Difficulty 4 27/37 = 72.9%
Overall 234/256 = 91.4%
I'm feeling pretty good about this. I've historically been strong on most of the non-assumption family questions as well. My goal minimum accuracy by the time I write the LSAT is 95% for difficulty 1, 95% for difficulty 2, 90% for difficulty 3, and 80% for difficulty 4.
If I stick remotely to schedule, by the time I will have written the LSAT I will have drilled in total 2000~ LR questions.

I need help.
I took a LR section this morning. I timed myself with 35 minutes. I circled my unsure answers. I have not checked the answers yet.
What should I do to optimally review this section? I am trying to score -0 in future LR sections. my average is -4, -5 per LR section.
Thanks!

Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
backslid a bit on a PT today, and it wasn't even that recent (PT 59, 168 BR 170). I'm moving across several states next week, starting my grad program the week after. do i delay?
also, what do i do tomorrow? i had been drilling timed sections for the past few days and had been lights out. i'm starting to feel like i'm really good at drilling sections or by problem type but it isn't translating to my PTs. so for tomorrow i'm almost inclined to take a crack at another PT just to see if i can get back into the 170s and boost my confidence going into the last 5 weeks. is that a bad idea? (obviously i could poop the bed again, then my headspace is totally effed up)
