There's something called wisdom and that cannot be quantified.
The hivemind has told you guys to drill. That's a suggestion based on our subjective experiences. I don't see you rushing to discount that, so why are you discounting a suggestion about careers that voyager made?
I'm not saying you have to go to b-school. I'm certainly not going to b-school. I agree with you guys on some points, but the histrionics are unnecessary when all that happened was that Raider jokingly mentioned going business school because he won Monopoly and Shaka provided a relevant link to an interesting perspective.
B-school is a better option for many people.
Let's all just have a beer and chill.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
The thing about Voyager, besides being a raging elitist (in his RC guide he says any college with "state" in its title is "shit"), he was an officer in the Marines and then lucked into running a division of some business. That's all before he went to CLS and worked at McKinsey. From his aforementioned statements, we can also assume he went to an elite undergrad.
So my response to him coming back here and saying we should all follow his path and go into business because it's so much easier is "LOL."
There's also the fact that a lot of the people here haven't "been through the process" already. They're clueless 0L's who may or may not be contributing to the group ignorance by mindlessly repeating others' statements.
Anyway, I don't really give a shit about what's going on ITT with Monopoly or whatever, but I've been frustrated with these tendencies on TLS for awhile and just wanted to vent.

Dude I'm not calling you out specifically. I'm talking about TLS in general.Dirigo wrote:Nice try, but you don't know me from Adam.RZ5646 wrote: There's also the fact that a lot of the people here haven't "been through the process" already. Grab your popcorn rigo, I know how much you enjoy the drama lol.
I don't think anyone is specifically saying "Take all TLS hive mind suggestions for fact". Obviously you need to use your judgement with everything like you do in real life. I mean you are studying for the LSAT, analyzing arguments is your job. If you think that the hive mind advice is good then consider it. If you don't believe in the argument or reasoning behind the advice then don't take it. No one is asking you to blindly follow the advice of all TLSers. Use your logical reasoning skills to determine if the advice is relevant to you or the party addressed to first. Everyone has different backgrounds and skills so the advice does not apply to everyone. Hive mind can help to share solid and time-tested advice and strategies. It can also have negative consequences and lead the group into believing and following very wrong advice or beliefs. I don't care if its 0Ls or a partner at a law firm offering the advice, and frankly it doesn't matter where the advice came from if it has its support and it is taken under the context in which it was intended.
tl;dr: if you agree with the hive mind advice then take it. if not then leave it. think for yourself and don't blindly follow but consider it if its relevant
last post for me on this topic and yes, I would like to still be friends

Good job getting work done, I need to start going laptopless more. I wish I could help with RC advice, but I don't know of any foolproof method. I'm just going through as many RC passages as I can.leslieknope wrote:I went to a café laptopless for a couple of hours and actually got werk done.My BR of yesterday's PT went from -7/174 to -3/179. I will never know how to RC. Is TCR to try to fix your RC skills just to do as many passages as possible? Is there some secret RC foolproof method that I don't know about?
