Got another mail advert from MSU. Only way I'm moving back to lame ass Michigan is if I get into U of M and even then only if I don't get into the west coast schools I want. #westcoastbestcoast

Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
Hardly participated in this thread, hardly prepped (at least relative to how much I did for June), drank every day this week and planning on light drinking today tomorrow and friday, retaking 78 on Saturday morning. I should be woefully unprepared but for some reason I'm confident I'll do well, or at least better than last time, as long as a tokens passage doesn't blow up in my face again. Just gonna do some light drilling next week to make sure I don't forget how to do logic games or read. The drinking is stupid but hey its football season. Ive exhausted all the prep material anyway
I think every June taker knows exactly which passage you're talking about lol. Id take a break for a couple days before you start drilling again. Anxiety and stress is higher the week before for obvious reasons.

I just got absolutely wrecked by PT 78. Missed 3 LR, 2 LG, and 4 RC. -9 raw, 171 scaled. This is the lowest score I've gotten since starting prep in the summer. I have no no no no no idea what went wrong, and I felt great about everything except for one RC passage where I missed 3.
WHAT DO I DOOOOOO
.....meep.
God damn, I'm freaking out. Considering not doing any prep from now until test day and hoping it was burn out.

haha I was rocking a mustache in my picture so I guess I should grow that out for the next week.Instrumental wrote:Don't have to wear the same clothes, highly recommended to have the same facial/head hair. Just be recognizable.
In other news I just took PT 72 and what the actual fuck at that last game. It completely wrecked any confidence I had.
And man I know!! I took it as a drill section last night and it was very WTF...patterning game or what? I somehow went -2 in the section though, and that's with guessing randomly on the rule-sub so idunno maybe it clicked. Gonna BR it now.

Anyone feel that the LR's in the 70s have been a bit different than the ones in the 60s. They ask the same types of questions, but there is something just off about them. I think it's in the answer choices which seem a bit more troubling to filter out the wrong questions. My missed questions in them have gone up substantially and it doesn't seem like my approach is any different. Only done 70-72 so far though.

I think the way they word question stems are a bit different. There were questions where I wasn't sure if it was a Sufficient Assumption or a Strengthen question.Instrumental wrote:Anyone feel that the LR's in the 70s have been a bit different than the ones in the 60s. I find that the way they phrase the question stems makes it harder to grasp the argument core on first sight, also there are more traps in the question stem leading to corresponding trap ACs that punishes you quite harshly if you aren't careful when reading the stems.studyingeveryday wrote:I think the way they word question stems are a bit different. Finished PT74 as a 5-section, can't be arsed to do 6 or 8 sections today, might do a couple of 'em next week just to keep the endurance up.
LR: -0
LG: -3
RC: -2
LR2: -1
-6 -> 175
Pretty happy to be bouncing back up to my average after the shit show of 72. All the -3s are on the last game, which is kinda expected as I haven't drilled undetermined assignment games for like two weeks so should be easy to fix. LR2 could be easily another -0 had I not proceeded without fully understanding one of the question stems.
Feeling really good coming outta this. :DNice little confidence boost just when I need it!

But I did stop PTing for a couple of days and just focused on drilling, and I made sure that I didn't go too hard on myself for the drilling so that I don't get burnt out.

Reading about people who started at about the same score I did who then surpassed my average score by like 10 points by the test time in the same amount of time I've been studying is the most depressing thing! I need to just stop reading success stories lmbo.

I sometimes stare at the testmasters score increase at the top/bottom. I just stare at it for a long time and say " if these people can do it so can I"Instrumental wrote:Reading about people who started at about the same score I did who then surpassed my average score by like 10 points by the test time in the same amount of time I've been studying is the most depressing thing! I'm gonna have to get these. I can sit there at my fancy new law school and have a drink with my new coasters, wearing three flannel shirts, REI hiking books, listening to Home on the Range, thinking how well I've adjusted to east coast city life.

Haha - go for it. I'm, personally, hoping for CLS or NYU so that I can enjoy the island life again for the next few years.Alexandros wrote:![]()
