This is probably a really dumb question but do we have to wear the same clothes that are in our picture on the admission ticket? Or is it more like don't shave your hair (if you have hair) and don't wear contacts (if you're wearing glasses in your picture)?

Don't have to wear the same clothes, highly recommended to have the same facial/head hair. Just be recognizable.

In other news I just took PT 72 and what the actual fuck at that last game. It completely wrecked any confidence I had.

Went -0LG, -1/-1LR and then -8!!! RC. Ho-lee-shyt! Just...

I'm going to write this off as a statistical aberration and move on with my life. Tomorrow is going to be my last full-up PT (#76) and then I'm done except a few LG practice sections next week. Think this'll keep my hyper-neurotic tendencies to a minimum leading up to game time.
still a great score.

which questions you missed in RC?
71 RC has some tough passages.
Thanks man. Uh, 4x misses on each of the last two passages (mirrors and talent/training). Like I said, I'm calling it an aberration. I haven't gone greater that -2RC (even on PT70's+) in months. Just...gunna let this one go.
looks like an anomaly. that talent passage is easy read and has only 6 questions, but some of those are fairly tough.

And as expected a simple inference is what was keeping me from understanding it. I've gotta stop with the deer in headlights syndrome when faced with a unique LG. Goddammit LSAC can't you just stick to standard sequence and grouping games. >:(

Sure.

Also, question for people who have taken the actual LSAT. I noticed that the one test booklets show the order of the sections in the page before the test. This isn't customary in the actual test is it? None of the 10 test books did this.

Nice scoreeee!!! I'd be bugging out in a good way and taking tequila shots right away if I got a 173 on test day regardless of that RC section!
Oh dude...me too. Anything 172+ and I will never again think about this test.

It's all about expectation management. I've been getting 175+ for awhile now so a 173 disappoints (fully acknowledging that I'd've been damn happy to get a 173 back in June). Also, I'm trying to pad my stats--I scored 3 points below my average last time so I'd like to keep my average ~175 going into this administration as "meerkat-on-tilt" insurance.
If my averages hold, it looks like I score between a 166 and a 170.

I would be content anywhere in this range, for sure.

PT 78 this Saturday morning - excited to see what I can score, as I feel like I am peaking at the perfect time.

i figured this had to do with the transcript form thing, but don't you only need to use that if you request a transcript in person?

I'm ordering transcripts electronically and I wanted to know what this whole "Attachment options for this recipient" thing is. Says that LSAC requires it, but I'm not sure what this is. It says these 2 options:

My attachment is completely filled out and my transcript can be sent immediately

OR

X college must add information to my attachment before my transcript can be sent

Your question:
Nah, the real LSAT doesn't have the numbered sections at the beginning. You just open it and you get section 1 :)

Fuck yea dude! Congrats.

You're doing it the right way. I made the mistake of peaking in early May for a June test and then neurotically obsessing and burning myself out just in time for the test. Glad to see you pacing yourself.

Good luck!

The transcript request form is not needed for electronic submission. I don't remember those two options coming up. Not necessarily saying it wasn't there when I did it, but I submitted mine back in April so I don't remember one way or the other. I did have a transcript Authorization form I had to fill out for release, but I don't think that's what they are talking about. Regardless, LSAC says plainly that the request form isn't necessary so long as it is from:
National Student Clearinghouse
Credentials Solutions
Scrip-Safe

so it seems like the former option would the right one. Can someone else weigh in?

Just did that test. The games challenge is just that it's super different. IMO, that rule sub question is the hardest rule question I've seen. I had to guess and got it wrong but I seemed to have a bullet by the right answer. Anywho

Felt like total crap taking this test (June 2014). Not sure why. Started at 8:45. Going to be getting up by 6:00 from here on out.

LG Act -1; BR -0
RC Act -6; BR -4 (one was left blank...I still content the question about attitude towards looters is total bullshit)
LR 1 Act -3; BR -1
LR 2 Act -2; BR -1
LG Exp Act -1; BR -0 (circled wrong answer, ended 15 min early b/c I had to get to a dentist appt...June 07 tho so eh whatever)

Act 89/101 (171); BR 95/101 (176 or so)

IMO, that test had a few really weird LR questions.

Kind of annoyed but kind of relieved it was a 171 even though I felt so off my game.

I had written out all possible scenarios on the game that had the rule sub question so it wasn't bad for me. I had plenty of time to do the last game but I was just like... wut. Now that I've reviewed it on 7sage, yeah it seems clear but damn I was at a loss when I saw it. Conceptual familiarity helps immensely.

I agree. I think I was mainly benefited by the fact I approach most games from generally a very perceptive basis. I mainly missed the rule sub since I didn't adequately apply myself. That's good you got it tho - I think that is the first one o ever missed.

PT61 LG: -1 (34:43 so basically 35 mins on the dot :( )

Wanna know the -1? it was one of the "acceptable situation" questions  I always mark off an A/C as I go through each rule but for this game idk why I didn't. Maybe that messed me up.

Y'all, I'm freaking the fuck out and need help, ASAP.

I just got absolutely wrecked by PT 78. Missed 3 LR, 2 LG, and 4 RC. -9 raw, 171 scaled. This is the lowest score I've gotten since starting prep in the summer. I have no no no no no idea what went wrong, and I felt great about everything except for one RC passage where I missed 3.

The RC was tough because of that passage that I believe you're talking about, so don't feel bad about that. Idk what to say besides review it, man. See where you went wrong. I hope you figure it out, bro!

Had the same thing happen a few days ago, so gonna paraphrase what Alexandros (the savior) told me.

Burnout/Off day/Test day nerves getting to your head all a possibility. I'd reckon take a few hours or even a day off and come back and do a really in-depth review what your thought process was that led to missing that RC passage and those LR Qs.

I took the afternoon after that PT off, reviewed the test in the evening and found that I had difficulty extracting the argument core from the Q stem (for some reason), which completely screwed my LR up. A couple of days of drilling later and problem solved. Judging by the fact that your -9 raw still ain't bad your issue probably isn't as fundamental as mine, so should be easier to fix.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
