I'm not sure the exact number, might be like 600 or 700. wow -the vast majority of my classes have been over 200. i guess it depends on the size of your school (/ your school's competency in delegating resources lolTheMikey wrote:800 people ? Lol well I'm a psych major and it's a popular major at my school so all of the psych classes are big lecture halls. Don't know why psych is so popular here, it's useless but the fuck do I know? Ughhhhhh...just went 173 on PT71. I mean, not a terrible score or anything but it's how I went about doing it.
Went -0LG, -1/-1LR and then -8!!! RC. Ho-lee-shyt! Just...
I'm going to write this off as a statistical aberration and move on with my life. Tomorrow is going to be my last full-up PT (#76) and then I'm done except a few LG practice sections next week. Think this'll keep my hyper-neurotic tendencies to a minimum leading up to game time.

ah yeah it's like that here too. almost all the psych classes i've had have been massive. they're a great self-esteem boost when you can get into them, because they're easy and the averages are worryingly low.TheMikey wrote:Lol well I'm a psych major and it's a popular major at my school so all of the psych classes are big lecture halls. It's all about expectation management. I've been getting 175+ for awhile now so a 173 disappoints (fully acknowledging that I'd've been damn happy to get a 173 back in June). Also, I'm trying to pad my stats--I scored 3 points below my average last time so I'd like to keep my average ~175 going into this administration as "meerkat-on-tilt" insurance.

holy crap dude the same thing happened to me on PT 74! I went -2 total on LR, -1 on LG.....then -8 on RC.ponderingmeerkat wrote:Ughhhhhh...just went 173 on PT71. I mean, not a terrible score or anything but it's how I went about doing it.

Dude. This sucks on both accounts. I'm sorry.Alexandros wrote:Caught the flu.at least it's this week, not this time next week. Welp, PT 78 definitely not in the books for today anymore :/
Gonna take it really easy and hopefully have this knocked out of my system by test day.
Also, I had a dream last night that we had the first thing on the test was an 11 question mapping game that made no sense whatsoever (I think you were just supposed to draw pictures or something.) And my proctors were screaming at each other, and I had to use the restroom the entire time.
I got sick last week. Started to feel better this weekend...now everything that was once clogging my face is simply now clogging my lungs. I'm thinking about going to the doctor to get antibiotics early next week...normally I try to fight it off on my own but I really really don't want to be coughing up a lung during the test. I'd be so pissed if I just got sick now...hopefully you have a better immune system than I do!!!
On a related note....do cough drops count as "Medical products" that are allowed in the testing center? Although they can't be on the desk so not sure how helpful they'll be anyway.

Haha you'll get it bro. I think just about everyone in here has what it takes to score very well. Mind set is all it takes, which is why I internally cried when I got my June score for only 3 hours and then got a ball of rage right after and told myself I would fucking destroy this testponderingmeerkat wrote:Oh dude...me too. Haha yeah.. all my psych classes excluding experimental psych are all A's or A-.. It's so easy to do well in them. I feel like psych appeals to the "I just need a major and I have no clue what to do with my life" people lol. I guess that's why it's so popular.Alexandros wrote:ah yeah it's like that here too. almost all the psych classes i've had have been massive. they're a great self-esteem boost when you can get into them, because they're easy and the averages are worryingly low.TheMikey wrote:Lol well I'm a psych major and it's a popular major at my school so all of the psych classes are big lecture halls. Tbh, I was legit worried about getting the flu a few days before the LSAT. so I guess this might be for the best (provided I can kick it soon-ish.) I think i might be able with having the tail end of flu symptoms (like congestion and stuff, even tho it would be irritating af) so long I don't have a *fever* on test day, since that's what seriously affects my cognitive abilities. :/

Thanks man. Uh, 4x misses on each of the last two passages (mirrors and talent/training). Like I said, I'm calling it an aberration. I haven't gone greater that -2RC (even on PT70's+) in months. Just...gunna let this one go.appind wrote:still a great score.ponderingmeerkat wrote:Ughhhhhh...just went 173 on PT71. I mean, not a terrible score or anything but it's how I went about doing it.

I had a revelation this week. My lowest score in my past 10 PTs was a 174. But if I got a 174 on the test, I would be so fucking happy. So, like, the work is done. Now it's just reward.
