Loled hard at this. I think I just did those RCs recently. Now I'm picturing bees dancing. How do they even come up with topic ideas?? They clearly don't have very creative minds....mist4bison wrote:Oh the wiggle dance?? I remember reading my fair share of passages about indigenous people being screwed over by the white people.koala-fy wrote:Loled hard at this. I think I just did those RCs recently. Another favorite. Was the SAT like this? I don't remember it being so repetitive and predictablenlee10 wrote:I remember reading my fair share of passages about indigenous people being screwed over by the white people.koala-fy wrote:Loled hard at this. Re: The Official December 2014 Study Group
Hello! I was hoping you guys would give me some tips/advice in how I should spend the next two weeks?
I have taken almost every test up to pt 69 when I was studying for the sept test but decided not to go over 69. My fresh tests left are 70+. Last week I took couple pts from 60-65, scoring either 169 or 170 for those tests but today, I took pt 68, scored a 163.
LG: -4 (from usually missing 1 per game section)
LR: -10 (and blind reviewed -4 <----does this mean I have timing issues? or what?)
RC: -8 (which i have no idea how to improve as the number I miss always fluctuates from 4-9 depending on how en gaged i am with the passage)
so now im feeling a little hopeless, since it was a more recent test. what should I do (with RC/ LR) ? should I be considering postponing the test? my plan is to take the recent tests and see but also, Im not feeling too confident anymore. will be doing about 8 rc passages (probably untimed) per day and more lr sections.
also, I dont even feel like I can use those 169/170s as an accurate measure since I did take those tests 3 months ago. what do you guys think?
any advice/encouragement would help at this point....

Never took Pt 73, but a lot of people did worse than they expected. You can check out the September waiters' thread when scores came out...it was not pretty, lol.flash21 wrote:guys took pt 73 last week BOMBED it. worst score by far.. someone please tell me this PT was a bitch? When you guys flag a question to come back to it later, do you put something down anyway for the time being? I feel like just in case you don't end up getting back to it, or time is called while you're working on it, it's better to at least have something down and have a shot at getting a point.

One thing I noticed back on high school or even college multiple choice exams, it was rare to have like 3 or 4 answers in a row. I feel this happens at all the time on the LSAT.Dirigo wrote:If down to two answers, I pick one and mark it just in case I don't have time to go back.koala-fy wrote:When you guys flag a question to come back to it later, do you put something down anyway for the time being? If I totally skip it, I leave it blank. If I don't have time at the very end, I usually just quickly bubble in answer choice D or something.

This is totally true and it drives me crazy. I remember reading that they likely do it on purpose to freak you out.nlee10 wrote:One thing I noticed back on high school or even college multiple choice exams, it was rare to have like 3 or 4 answers in a row. Did PT 66 yesterday
166
Went -5 RC, -3 LR1, -5 LG (!!!), -3 LR2
Lesson learned - don't neglect upfront inferences for games that look easy as hell.
