Re: The Official December 2017 Waiters Thread
I know the earlier scores don't mean much from an admissions standpoint (most schools admissions offices are closed until next year), but my score might affect how high I shoot in terms of what schools I apply to, so the extra 1.5+ weeks to prepare applications helps. If I get a 170+ I will definitely be applying to most of the bottom half of t14, but haven't done so yet because I didn't want to waste my money if I got a 165 and know I wouldn't have a chance anyway.

I just checked and U of San Diego and Georgia have my CAS report (it wasn't going to be sent until my score was in since I was a first time taker).etramak wrote:FYI re the "schools get out scores before us rumor:" GW changed status checker to "LSAT received." So would you say it’s okay to just submit applications Jan 2 as previously planned?MikeSpivey wrote:Here is a secret.
Timelines as far as admissions haven't changed one bit with this two week early release -- or at least not for the exceptional majority of law schools. I just wrote a blog on this I need one person to look over and will then post/tweet/share/ cut it/rock it/ and send t to the warehouse etc. But just an early fyi, when it's said and done -- this is actually much ado about nothing. At least as far as timelines with law admissions go, as nothing is moved up. As far as how much spiked eggnog you consume maybe the world has changed dramatically.

This movie was better than expected. The ending pushed it to a solid 8/10 for me.Zero Hedge wrote:That movie escalated so quickly at the end.PhiladelphiaCollins wrote:Made sure I stayed up till 3AM so I could pass out with Easier. I just checked Washington & Lee's status checker...they didn't have it last night, they have it now.etramak wrote:Do you know when it was sent/received?vikingrunner wrote:I just checked and U of San Diego and Georgia have my CAS report (it wasn't going to be sent until my score was in since I was a first time taker).etramak wrote:FYI re the "schools get out scores before us rumor:" GW changed status checker to "LSAT received." The Fordham status checker is saying "Current Status: Incomplete pending future LSAT Score" so I don't know whether some schools are actually getting scores or others are jumping the gun and updating statuses and marking apps complete because they know they'll get scores one way or another today.Hollidae wrote:I got the same email... well. Yeah. One of the schools I have an app out for and won't review my app until the new score comes out has the same status (waiting for future lsat). So it does sound like some schools just know the scores come out today and are just getting ahead of the game.AvatarMeelo wrote:The Fordham status checker is saying "Current Status: Incomplete pending future LSAT Score" so I don't know whether some schools are actually getting scores or others are jumping the gun and updating statuses and marking apps complete because they know they'll get scores one way or another today.Hollidae wrote:I got the same email... well. I'm just bracing myself for the follow up tweet that something went wrong and scores will have to wait until after their holiday

Re: The Official December 2017 Waiters Thread
The ending was kind of convoluted IMO - not in terms of plot but how the movie shot it/edited it, but I still enjoyed it as a whole. Emily Blunt knocked it out of the park though.chewinggum wrote:This movie was better than expected. Not sure how else to say this. Here is the order in which people know your scores:etramak wrote:FYI re the "schools get our scores before us rumor:" GW changed status checker to "LSAT received." Michigan State sent out an email saying "scores have dropped"
1. A few psyshometricians at LSAC who care nothing about your individual score and may not even know our name but rather just your lsat #.
2. YOU
3. Schools.
I have spoken with a number of deans of admissions this week because of yesterday's surprising LSAC announcement. I tell them that many applicants think schools get scores before they do and the response is always a surprised, "lol what?"
I just, seconds ago, called a law school admissions dean and said "did you receive any LSAT scores" to which I was told "no of course not."
