Dam seriously? So if I get rejected I can't reapply after another LSAT try? If that's the case then I may have to put a hold on one or two. But I'm so unsure of my score. It hasn't even been a week and I've already talked myself into thinking I got a 140 or something. Pretty sure that's not the case but this waiting thing is playing mind tricks on me.AbbeyS wrote:If you sent in a hold request, wouldn't that mean you already submitted? Think with my stats I'll be waitlisted at best, and I thought submitting late with a better score would be better than risking rejection. Not a great situation to be in, but oh well.

If you get rejected, you can apply again next cycle but not this one. I've seen a few schools that have an appeal option within 30 days of rejection but idk how often that workslawat43 wrote:Dam seriously? So if I get rejected I can't reapply after another LSAT try? Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
My Dec score wasn't nearly good enough for any T14 but if Feb goes well, I was thinking of throwing in a few VERY last minute apps to Northwestern, Georgetown etc that has a March 1st deadline (crossing my fingers we get our score before then that is). Originally wanted to apply to Cornell too but apparently their deadline was Feb 1st...what's this talk about potentially being able to submit apps after the deadline?

Yeah what AbbeyS said. I'm pretty set on going this year; I don't think it'll affect your next cycle if you try again.AbbeyS wrote:If you get rejected, you can apply again next cycle but not this one. I'm not a pure lurker, I made a view posts soliciting advice for a potential retake.I also had a pretty embarrassing encounter with LSAC very recently.AbbeyS wrote:I try to post on here often & it's always the same couple people interacting. Apparently I did something wrong on the certifying statement that required them to send it back to me and have me redo it. I noticed a few irregularities in the testing center such as parsed instructions, test booklets being left out during the 14 (!) minute break, so I'm not sure if the fault is entirely on me or shared by the proctor. But I can't help feel my confidence undermined by an inability to properly transcribe a pretty simple paragraph.
Maybe this will make some other waiters feel a bit better, because getting that email was truly no fun.

I have seen here and there (on TLS) admissions consultants (I believe it was Spivey) saying that, if your scores are exceptional, you can contact the schools and they may be willing to consider you past the deadline.dhwz175 wrote:My Dec score wasn't nearly good enough for any T14 but if Feb goes well, I was thinking of throwing in a few VERY last minute apps to Northwestern, Georgetown etc that has a March 1st deadline (crossing my fingers we get our score before then that is). can confirm...there's a thread on here where you can ask previous deans of top schools (including Spivey) questions...I asked about this and that's what I was told...no harm in trying...worst they can say is no. But if your stats are exceptional then they may allow you to send an app past deadlinewellitsover wrote:I have seen here and there (on TLS) admissions consultants (I believe it was Spivey) saying that, if your scores are exceptional, you can contact the schools and they may be willing to consider you past the deadline.dhwz175 wrote:My Dec score wasn't nearly good enough for any T14 but if Feb goes well, I was thinking of throwing in a few VERY last minute apps to Northwestern, Georgetown etc that has a March 1st deadline (crossing my fingers we get our score before then that is). What they said, plus if you're worried about a March 1st deadline you can always submit before the deadline and they just won't have your LSAT score but your app will be considered on time. I specifically know that Georgetown will hold your app for Feb scores because they're doing that with mine. If your applications to NU/GULC are contingent upon hitting a certain number then you're gambling a little more with the timeline. But I've got my fingers crossed for a leap day score release on 2/29.AbbeyS wrote:can confirm...there's a thread on here where you can ask previous deans of top schools (including Spivey) questions...I asked about this and that's what I was told...no harm in trying...worst they can say is no. That sucks, but at least you got to redo the certifying statement. Maybe I'm overly cynical about LSAC but it wouldn't have surprised me if they just invalidated a person's score in that situation.GumpBrave wrote: I'm not a pure lurker, I made a view posts soliciting advice for a potential retake.I also had a pretty embarrassing encounter with LSAC very recently.

Major thanks to all you helpful people, off to check the thread mentioned.
