Way more value judgments than I expected for an answer to my question, but thanks.Zoomie wrote:iditarod wrote:Is it confirmed that they won't release over the weekend?
I read in one of the waiting threads they had a saturday release date once. However, I doubt they will release on a Saturday just to get them out earlier. That would require them coming in and working on a Saturday. No matter how entitled we feel to our scores, people don't want nor should they work a Saturday for that. Be glad if it's Monday, the release date is March 6th. Considering that some people took their later (and are complaining about notice....because they weren't ready nor knew about they were rescheduling ahead of time, they got an extra week!!) I would say we will be lucky to get them before the 6th.

I wonder if they actually send out the emails manually (as in employees type up and send them out) or if they are just automatically sent out at a predetermined date/time by a computer

Actually they type out each email individually without the aid of copy/paste. That is of course after the initial draft is done up on a typewriter (this is why power outages and storms don't delay the marking process) then verified by first a mid-level then senior manager. The scantrons however, have all been graded by the end of the day that follows the exam.OliveBC wrote:I wonder if they actually send out the emails manually (as in employees type up and send them out) or if they are just automatically sent out at a predetermined date/time by a computer

Re: Feb Waiters (ATTENTION: Discuss LSAT Qs → BANNED) [New Poll]
Today was one of those days where LSAT was on my mind... too much. I really need a 168. Probably missed it though
I was practicing at a 165-170.
Any guesses on what would be needed for a 166 167 and 168 respectively? Out of 101

Just look at all the -10 and -11 curves from the past, and you'll have a very good idea. I found this test very similar to October, and it was a -10, with 87/100 for 168, 86/100 for 167, and 84 or 85/100 for 166.

I'm still not over the fact that they don't release the scale for Feb. It really is absurd. I guess the range is definitely 9 to 11, but I would just like to know for sure. Sucks.

There are less takers in February, but that's likely going to be offset by the deferred exams (since LSAC is aiming to release all scores at once). I'm going to say March 6th, earliest.

If all the scantrons are graded within a few days, why does it take a month to release the scores?

I don't believe you. How can scantrons be graded so quickly? They're surely hand-marked.gronk wrote:Actually they type out each email individually without the aid of copy/paste. International tests have to be mailed in which probably takes a few days to a week. The rest of the time is probably spent investigating irregularities (reported cheating, statistical probability of similarly filled answer sheets next to each other, potentially throwing out a question, etc.)TheJanitor6203 wrote:If all the scantrons are graded within a few days, why does it take a month to release the scores?

I agree. As long as there are no superstorms aiming towards LSAC.TERS wrote:There are less takers in February, but that's likely going to be offset by the deferred exams (since LSAC is aiming to release all scores at once). I'm going to say March 6th, earliest.

We've got about a week to go. I can't believe this viscous cycle is almost over
Between waiting for scores (my third time) and waiting to hear back from schools, this whole experience has taught me to be a patient motherfucker.
LSAC take your time

Main page doesn't come up for me, something about them needing to renew their domain name.

LSAC website doesn't work for me on my pc, but shows up normally on my iphone. Strange.
Has LSAC ever been hacked? I could imagine someone desperately wanting to change their lsat score or something...

Re: Feb Waiters (ATTENTION: Discuss LSAT Qs → BANNED) [New Poll]
I called LSAC to ask something about my letter of recs. Near the end of my conversation, I asked her about release date and potential delay. Her response: "As far as we know, the release date is still on March 6." I don't know how to interpret that.
Btw, for any who might withdraw etc based on your score, she told me schools receive the score approximately 24 to 48 hours after we do. Good thing to keep in mind.
