Spotted: lilwing67 being studious for a notoriously difficult exam. Will she get the results she wants? xoxo gg.Mikey wrote:I saw you in my school todaylittlewing67 wrote:

Thanks for the input, and thanks to everyone else who shared their thoughts on this topic!CottonHarvest wrote:A LOT of people read the stem first. I do and it works great. Nice, I feel like I should start drilling specific game types too. What book/packet do you use to drill?presidentspivey wrote:I've spent the last two days doing laser-focused drilling on In/Out Games and the improvements are obvious. Even I/O games I haven't seen before really fly by. Plan is to do the same with grouping games and some of the more advanced sequencing games for the remainder of the week. At risk of sounding trite, make sure you're using a scalpel, not a sledgehammer.

Are you going through the sections untimed or are you timing to see how long it takes you to get through?tapenade wrote:PT 23: 84 raw, 170 scaled. I'm not ready to be timed just yet, although I did finish RC with a few minutes to spare.
Feels like progress!
Edit: here's the breakdown
LG: -5
LR: -4
LR: -4
RC: -4
Last PT was 171, hope the trend continues when I do timed drills and full tests next month!
A bit of both. Sometimes I'll have to finish a section in between teaching classes, other times I'll run a stopwatch without looking at the timer. I'm hoping to start timing each drill/full test starting next month.chewinggum wrote:Are you going through the sections untimed or are you timing to see how long it takes you to get through?tapenade wrote:PT 23: 84 raw, 170 scaled. Yeah, just like the PTs you buy from them.HesusChrist wrote:For those who have written an administration - What is the physical form of the test? Similar to the single PT books you can buy on amazon? I don't want to show up and be thrown off because I was accustomed printed PTs.

Front and back pages, logic games have the large space with 2 pages per game (both pages visible at the same time, not front and back), RC is 2 pages per passage (not front and back, both pages visible just to be clear). That's about it I think.
They also pass out the answer sheet separately from the book, which was a relief to me because I had a hell of a time pulling out those non-perforated scantrons from the individual PTs. Probably not a big deal to anyone else but it was huge to me lol.Mikey wrote:Yeah, just like the PTs you buy from them.HesusChrist wrote:For those who have written an administration - What is the physical form of the test?
