It was harder the first time around for me...honestly getting on here makes the wait more bearable cause you at least have people to talk to who understand your struggle .....other than that, nothing else helped distract me enoughCfitz wrote:This was my first try. Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
I just sent a hold request to my top school. Think with my stats I'll be waitlisted at best, and I thought submitting late with a better score would be better than risking rejection. Not a great situation to be in, but oh well.

Spent most of the wait in Dec as a lurker, too much drama in that thread.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Any December retakers? I think I see some familiar faces

If you sent in a hold request, wouldn't that mean you already submitted? So you aren't submitting late really...I think it's a smarter choice cause once you're rejected then you're rejected.wellitsover wrote:I just sent a hold request to my top school. Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
Oh yea sorry, that's what I meant. I was thinking that they would review it late (after the score's released) even though I've already submitted it, and that would be a disadvantage. However, like you said, I would probably have been near auto-reject so it's probably better off this way.AbbeyS wrote:If you sent in a hold request, wouldn't that mean you already submitted? I mean, I don't know your stats so I wouldn't say it'd be an auto-rejection. Just saying don't fret that you asked them to hold. A lot of people do it & a lot of schools are willing to. That's why most say on their websites that they consider Feb LSATswellitsover wrote:Oh yea sorry, that's what I meant. Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
For those who did do this, did you guys also email schools that say they don't accept Feb scores? Or just the ones that say they do? It seems like there is some leeway if your score is good enough, according to conversations I've picked up along the way here on TLS. Anyone have any thoughts on this?AbbeyS wrote:I mean, I don't know your stats so I wouldn't say it'd be an auto-rejection. Just saying don't fret that you asked them to hold. Re: The Official February 2016 Waiter's Thread
I emailed Columbia like 2.5 weeks past their deadline for asking for a hold and they were still really cool about it and said they'd wait for my February score before reviewing my application. If you have a school in mind, it's definitely worth a shot! The worst they can say is no.wellitsover wrote:For those who did do this, did you guys also email schools that say they don't accept Feb scores? Or just the ones that say they do?
