Yeah, hey, if that works for you then that's the route to go for sure. I both do and don't envy you for it.

I've found that I get basically nothing out of redoing easy questions of any type. So I essentially blind review my drills. Circle anything that I'm not 100% on and then make a note of the page of the LG/question number in LR in the Cambridge packet for redo. Which winnows my review down enough that, after going through everything once, I'll probably only have 10-15% of the material for round 2.

I try to cycle it through. So if I've taken the experimental 1st, 2nd, and 5th during my last 3 PTs, I will put the experimental either 3rd or 4th during my next one.

Also, took this year's June LSAT and can confirm that the experimental is NOT always section 1-3. It can be any section, so it's best to practice that way.

The reasoning is that since questions of level 4 difficulty are relatively uncommon, you won't miss that many points if you aren't able to consistently get them right in time. Your goal score dictates whether those losses are acceptable.

I think the reasoning is that the frequency of those questions is so small that they probably only come up a few times in an entire test. Then again, you can use that to your advantage; if you kill level 4s than everything else is probably going to be easy. I typically center around the level 3s and 4s, 1 and 2s are pretty easy. Eventually they'll get easier, but they're never going to be no brainers, they're the hardest ones.

The elimination part is essential to these questions because you'll usually end up with two answers to choose between, the one that you can clearly prove to be wrong is the one that will be eliminated and the other one will be the right answer, even if it is iffy. Kind of sucks cause these questions really test your reasoning skills, you HAVE to be able to prove 4 wrong.

Did a dozen games today, mostly grouping, and I flew through them. I felt great. However, I already drilled most of these games multiple times in the past, so idk how much I've actually improved. I could just be remembering things.

Gonna do another untimed PT tomorrow, or at least part of one. (School work is picking up.)

It's about remembering how to make inferences, but sometimes I remember the inferences themselves.

Hello, all!

I'm checking in as a third-time test-taker (165 the first time, 169 the second time in June) with the goal of a 175+ (ideally 180!) in October. I'm really hoping the forum/community will be a good luck charm this third and final time around.

Going to give it my best!

Anyone else having issues with having used up the ~30 most recent preptests? I'm having trouble thinking through a new study plan for this third time around. If there are any n-th time test-takers here, I'd appreciate thoughts.

Weird day for me. Did PT27 RC and got destroyed:-6. The Stuart/Mills passage with the names killed me. Then I drilled around 45 flaw questions from all difficulty levels and got all of them right. I happen to enjoy flaw questions--- the answers are predictable and I find the stimuli to be a lot shorter.

Anyway, I realize I've been struggling with Humanities passages. I can't stand music/art/literature and so that may be why. Can anyone here recommend a book that'll get me familiar with some of these topics? Would really appreciate any recommendations.

started doing drills yesterday. going to focus more on RC since after re-scoring I will have gone -2 (LR), -0(LR), -1(LG), -9 (RC). Not going to take it for granted that I was doing well on RC and just get more comfortable with RC in general I suppose.

This is my first, hopefully only attempt, at the lsat. I've been studying since May and will start PTing in Aug. I've been concentrating on accuracy and blind reviewing mainly. I may take a test a week a little earlier than that but I'll see how my confidence is come mid July.

On another note, my LR is pretty squared away besides Flaws. I for some reason always have 2 answers per question where I feel like I'm guessing. Any one have suggestions or tips?

I don't think the subject actually matters (though inexplicably I seem to struggle on science passages).

Are the Cambridge Drilling packets real LSAT questions or LSAT-like questions? I'd rather do a ton of drilling with made up questions and save the real ones for the PTs (took the June one so don't have a ton of real questions left to practice with)
