What is an Asian party

Lol in tonight's case, it's where a bunch of Asian families get together at someone's house and:
(1) Eat lots of Asian food
(2) "Socialize" (a.k.a. listen to mothers humble-brag/brag about their children)
(3) Carve pumpkins for Halloween

What is an Asian party

im assuming its a party where a bunch of middle aged asians gather to gossip about their children, their childrens' love lives, and their childrens' recent academic achievements.
if it is specifically a chinese party, there may also be mah jong and/or bad 80s kareoke from hong kong.
eta: scooped by snag but not really bc i didnt even have to refer to UD
I could've typed out a nice summary, but I was too lazy when I knew of a reference that encapsulated the same thing.
Also, do non-Asians ever get invited? I would find such festivities strangely entertaining.

My mom and her friends usually invite a bunch of non-Asian neighbors/friends as well. Not necessary always the case, though haha.

Lol my mom would probably love you. I'm a horrible Korean; I can't cook Korean food. (... Or food in general...

)
ETA: I get more of the "bad Korean" rep because I can't have spicy food at all.

I went to a Nigerian party one time. The food table was a mountainous array of deliciousness. Then when I was full of sustenance, I danced until my shirt was drenched like the seats of a movie theatre during a Ryan Gosling film.

ryan gosling just doesnt do it for me

I'm just not sure who the universal hollywood crush of young American women is anymore. Clooney, Pitt, and Depp seem too old. Orlando Bloom is too far-fetched. Chris Hemsworth is too blonde. I tried...
