PT Average: 162
Expected: 155+
Actual: 154
I really want to know what went wrong! I've taken it twice and each time I'm about 8 below my average. WTF?

Avg: Overall 170, Tests >50: 160
Expected: 163, 155, 145 (srsly)
Actual: 167
Pretty happy. May retake. I pretty much only miss assumption questions and logic games...

hahaha damn, relax. if this is your worst FAIL ever, you aren't doing so bad. you need to change your perspective.acadec wrote:PT average: 178-79

I can't even contain my disappointment. This weekend will be a break; after that, EVERYTHING in my life will be dedicated to getting a 180. I really, really didn't want to have to retake. But a 171 is so desperately below my potential. God. Fucking. Damn it. I've never choked on a test before in my life.

Congrats, Adjudicator! Your stats are amazing. I don't see how UDub could turn either of us down

Congrats Adjuc. Got me beat by 1. I'm alittle pissed too, felt like I did better. But oh well, right.Adjudicator wrote:PT average: 176.6

I really want to know what the heck I missed and how, because I really thought I did better than that. Unless the curve was just brutal.

It looks like there was a section or 2 that was a lot harder than we thought for us scorers Pting in the 160's, but no so hard for those consistently in the 170's.
Without the disclosure book I have no idea, but 161 was my fucking worst case scenario. Any lower I'd be in a depression.

Basically the same thing happened to me on the June test-the three PTs I took before the test were 180, 180, 179 and my score came back as 172. The October retake netted me a 180, so I say go for it.acadec wrote:PT average: 178-79

I'm not normally the guy to say this, but if you are above median of every school in the country, you can't really be upset. Statistically, there is no difference between a 175 and a 178. And your cycles likely won't be different between the two unless you bombed undergrad.

Re: PT average / test day expectation / actual score (oct2010)
PT Average: High 150s (don't know the exact number) with a high of 163 on my last PT
Expected: 157-162
Actual: 160
My score was right on the money in terms of what I expected. I guess I shouldn't be upset, but my RC was bad compared to my PTs (-10 actual vs -5 to -7 on most PTs). That alone cost me a 163, which I would've been very happy with. Looking back, I definitely should've done more prep. I'm still awful at LG (-8 on the test), which is where gains can be made with more prep. A 165 seems possible with a little more prep and fine-tuning.

Or unless you are a retaker and trying to get that average up.Patriot1208 wrote:I'm not normally the guy to say this, but if you are above median of every school in the country, you can't really be upset. pt average: 172.5
expected: 173
actual: 170
pt46-55 i was 174-179, 56-60 i was 169-172
i was really shaken by that drop at the end with pts 56-60, this was my first LSAT and weighing the pros and cons i don't think its worth the agony to retake, although i really was hoping for a 173+.

Pretty exciting. I had a prolonged moment of Zen during the test where I didn't really use any strategies. Seemed to work, strangely enough.

Lol @ the kids story. A 179 is second place out of like a thousand competitors. In a traditional race you'd come in first, every time.Deep Trench wrote:Canceled June test after messing up LG. I was averaging PT in low 170's before June test (although the average was around 175 for the last five PT before June test). I did not have any fresh PT to practice for Oct test so I repeated the PT I have already done. I averaged 178 for the retake PT (including nineteen 180's), but I was not sure whether this was the real indication of my performance. After taking Oct test, I felt like I got 175+, but I kept doubting myself as time went on. I was bracing myself for low 170's in the end, but I was pleasantly surprised to get 179 tonight. My three kids are really happy for me as well. I told them that I came in second place since they don't know what 179 means.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
