Except his version would require more work than mine requires.aschup wrote:They should, since he has TCR.3|ink wrote:What a rebel. Someone should give you a sticker.D. Re: 3link's Study Spreadsheet
For one thing, you can track available material (assuming you wish to take all released tests). On the nights I didn't take PTs, I took individual sections. It can be difficult to keep track of what sections you have completed without flipping through your books.IAFG wrote:why do people track at all? what do you gain from this?
Secondly, it tracks your scores for individual sections. It probably doesn't do you much good to know how you were scoring on certain sections when you first started, but keeping track of your weekly scores/averages can be advantageous.
Lastly, it tracks individual question types if the user chooses to use that function. As I've explained, it sometimes helps to know your weak points.

I found it constructive, in its own way. The substance of it was basically "there are easier/less intricate ways to get the same basic result."YCrevolution wrote:If you are unable to offer on-topic constructive criticism for the OP or other users, resist the urge to post in on-topic forums.D. Re: 3link's Study Spreadsheet
Pardon my asking, but do you have any further concerns about the spreadsheet or did my response cover them?aschup wrote:I found it constructive, in its own way. That aside, part of his post may have been a valid criticism. I'll address it.
Sounds good.D. H2Oman wrote:In the a column you can write question types,
And you would calculate average on your own for each question type? Or did you think averages calculate themselves? Sure your proposed spreadsheet could do this. However, you’d have to update the formula each time.D. H2Oman wrote:in B you can put the average number of times it appears per test,
Sounds like the same amount of work (if not more) to me.=Average(3,5,4,2,6…..
Another manual calculation that you propose would result in less work. I’m not saying calculating averages aren’t easy. I’m saying they fall under that ‘unnecessary’ category aschup was talking about.D. H2Oman wrote: in C the average number of times you get [them] incorrect.
Thank you for your criticism.

Re: 3link's Study Spreadsheet
It was very original. I thought about it myself when designing the spreadsheet, but there wasn't much I could fit into this space:Holly Golightly wrote:What about the column for porn?3|ink wrote: That aside, part of his post may have been a valid criticism. I'll address it.

Bring on the penis jokes in the BP thread all you want. Just keep them out of here please. Thanks

What do you mean by "necro"? I've seen that a few times over the course of a couple hundred threads but haven't quite deciphered its meaning. There's a cool, random relevance concerning this exchange, after briefly glossing over your profile as well, woo.incompetentia wrote:The Aschup/YCR exchange is more hilarious with the new purpling.
