Just turned 38 last week. And when I looked at the stats, I began to wonder if non-traditional students ever get admitted to law school. Based on the average LSAT scores and the age range. But with age comes much experience and I have served in the Marine Corps, worked in my career for 13 years, been married, children, own my home, car paid off, traveled to 8 different countries, 40 different states and countless cities.

I don't think its fair to traditional students when you compare them to non-traditional ones. We know more.

26 years old....my daughter is 2....I will be 27 when I begin law school and when I graduate my daughter will be 6 years old. I feel SUPER old but I still have braces and chubby cheeks but I think my grey hair gives me away....oh well....

I'll be 35 when I start but am much better prepared for law school than I was 10 years ago when I first considered it. That's just me, though. Everybody is different. You must follow your own path.

I'm 54 and I'm being blown off by the L schools, but I will tell those in their 30's you should be very much desired by the T14. I applied at age 48 with a lousy 167 and was accepted by several T 14, Mich, Va, Duke, Cornell.
So, in your 30's age shouldn't be a problem.
I think I'm out of the picture at my age.

As for you, my neighbor was 48 when he graduated from medical school after a first life as a mechanic.

I'm hopeful it depends on the individual. I don't know if diversity and life experiences are just a claim to thwart age discrimination lawsuits?

I am really glad to know that I am not the only old one here. It was one of the topics discussed in my JR interview, and I got the sense I would be one of the oldest students there. That said, I feel much better prepared than I was right out of college.

I'm 20, will be 21 when start, but I've been out of undergrad for a year. I feel like im 40 tho, and I have done a lot of things, travel, work, and I have a good idea of what I want.
