I was gonna do a PT today but freaking out about way too many things right now. I'm gonna try to take care of the work / school stuff before I enter panic-induced paralysis. :roll: Did a decently long and unfamiliar warm-up this morning, so hopefully that counts for something.

Went over some LR from the other day. Going to maybe do an LG section that I've done before and PT tomorrow as planned. Don't want to do much today, so why not do LG which isn't so mind-tiring? :D

e: actually going to do PT45 LG, which I haven't done before. Or maybe I have but months ago, because this section doesn't look familiar at all, but who knows? o.O

Hell yeah, took another PT today. I didn't do as well as yesterday but I don't give a shit because I nailed the RC section again.

PT70
LR: -9
AR: -2
RC: -3
Score: 168.

I'm confident that I can bring my LR score back up to the -5 or so I normally get. Don't know why, but I was feeling kinda sluggish and wasn't getting my 15 in 15 like normal. The key to success is RC and *knock on wood* it looks like it's coming together *glee*

I wonder how much faster I'll be on test day since I've been having to flip after every page on my PTs, even on RC, instead of having 2 full pages in front of me.

Confession: I do my PTs directly in the book / booklet, cause I hate doing them in stapled packs. :oops:

Haha, good to know! I'll just have to do a hell of a lot of erasing if and when I'm finally able to sell these books. :P

quick question: how do you guys handle diagramming situations like the one below?

in an in and out game, you have two rules that you end up diagramming like this

A -> /B
C -> /B

So, normally when I have a not both rule in in and out games, I'll diagram like an A/B in one of the out slots. But, when you have situations like the one above, diagramming each not both rule in separate out slots wouldn't be an efficient representation.

SO, is it a proper inference to make that A and C will always be together? so would you diagram an out slot like [AC]/B?

Went to my test center this morning, sat in the same seat where I took the February 2015 test, and banged out a 180 on PT 77. -2 LG, -0 LR and RC.

That is not a proper inference. You could have a situation where A is in, which causes B to be out. But then C could be either in or out. If B is in, then both A and C are out, but you only need one of A or C to be in to trigger B being out.

Fair. So how would you diagram this situation?

congrats
if your issues with timing on lr/rc that you'd mentioned earlier resolved, anything specific you did? since you posted older pts earlier, any difference in your approach to handling newer ones?

I don't think so. If A is in, B is out and C could either be in or out. Same goes for if C is in, B is out and A could be in or out.

Yeah, lately I just read it fast, twice. Despite popular opinion, I think the newer RC sections are actually easier because the comparative passages are easier than a normal passage.

I only print LG with the 2 pages per game. I felt like it made a difference when I was jotting down rules, etc.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
