I've never really been a huge fan of McDonald's. Except when I was a little kid of course lol. I prefer Burger King or Taco Bell. I've never had chick fil ajagerbom79 wrote:7 years!! Holy shit. Thanks man, hopefully I can stay consistent on the RC. I made a couple careless mistakes of the ones I missed.Alexandros wrote:Making gains! Congrats!Instrumental wrote:Awww, hell yeah. Had a better PT today. Busted it out on the RC with a -4 (don't laugh).
PT69
LR: -5
AR: -3 (Too slow to get to the last three)
RC: -4
Score: 169.
They thought they could mess me up with their intricate examination of old photography techniques but little do those bastards know, I love photography. Don't want to get too happy though, I still want to get my scores up above 170 again.
Also Q9 of the second LR is probably the worst question I've encountered thus far on these PTs. I had to read the explanation of it on LSAT Hacks and even then I wasn't satisfied. I think they crossed the line from crafty to crappy on that question.

Struggling with 77 LR1 way more than I should be.
-2 on BR. 19 and 22. I think I get 22, a bit lost on 19.
When I did this section in the PT, I couldn't see how any of the answers in the first could be correct for some reason. (pretty obvious on BR) So I stared at it for a bit then freaked out and moved on. Then for some reason could not figure the last question out, and ran out of time. Pretty sure those were the other two.

This is my worry with recent rc. It has questions that depend on how/what you're thinking at the moment. And I usually don't have enough time to work it all out in the timed tests. I got this right in dec and instead missed an easy one in lr1.Alexandros wrote:Struggling with 77 LR1 way more than I should be.![]()

-3 on the one LR I did as experimental, which is really not good. (I think it was LR1 but not sure.) I actually didn't look it ove,r which is terrible, but I did horrendously on the PT it was in. I'm gonna look it over again for sure tho. thanks for heads up.appind wrote:i'm still kinda shocked by its LR, esp LR1. how did you find the section you did?Alexandros wrote:I've done all of 73 for drilling or experimental sections except one of the LRs.appind wrote:This is my worry with recent rc. Found the TC location (couldn't enter). Took about 10 minutes to cab there at around 7:40. There are some picnic tables about a 5 minutes walk away and then some benches is the courtyard of an apartment complex next door, but that's about it for potential warm-up locations. Not really sure what to do. I'm not sure I want 40 minutes to spare before check-in with nothing to do, but there's still potential for serious hold-ups in traffic because of the construction. I'm gonna have to think about it.

Ah hm okay. I'll probably shoot for that as well then. They don't let you start checking in until 8:30 though right?TheMikey wrote: I plan on getting to mine and having found a parking spot at least before 8
Appind, not gonna rent a car since I'm not good with city driving and haven't driven in this city before. Do they actually let you do warm-up or study or anything in the TC?
I might have lost my watch. Came back from my trip to the tc and can't find it anywhere. Hopefully thee's time to get another. D:

depends on TC. if you have a school as TC they may have empty classrooms. i think all you need is a bench and a semi-quiet place to warm up. if it's a hotel, then may be try lobby or hotel's restaurant.Alexandros wrote:appind wrote:around 8. have you considered renting a car the day before to drive to tc and do warmup in it?Alexandros wrote:Found the TC location (couldn't enter). Well when I took in June they started checking us in at 12:30 which was on time. It might be different for every TC though, so idk.Alexandros wrote:appind wrote:around 8. have you considered renting a car the day before to drive to tc and do warmup in it?Alexandros wrote:Found the TC location (couldn't enter). Warm-up: also when i took in june, we were sitting in the university's main lobby and people had some test material with them but threw it out before they sent us to the check-in area. i took the subway there so i did a warm-up when i was on there.

From what I can tell it's like a tiny institute thing that offers continuing ed courses. so there might be. but idk it looked pretty small and I'd hate to get in trouble if it wasn't allowed. and I'm not sure when they'll unlock it for us.appind wrote:depends on TC. if you have a school as TC they may have empty classrooms. i think all you need is a bench and a semi-quiet place to warm up. what kind of place is your tc?Alexandros wrote:appind wrote:around 8. have you considered renting a car the day before to drive to tc and do warmup in it?Alexandros wrote:Found the TC location (couldn't enter). Ah mmk. Thanks! I'm thinking - warm-up before I leave to play it safe, get there by 8am, and bring some looseleaf test materials - like an LG and an RC passage or smthn - in case we can warm-up while waiting.TheMikey wrote:Well when I took in June they started checking us in at 12:30 which was on time. Re: The Official September 2016 Study Group - WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS
Woke up early today, went to Tim's and wrote my PT. I'll usually write a PT around 9-10 AM on Saturdays, and I wrote this one before 8:30, and I gotta say I definitely felt the impact, as surprising as that is. Ended up with a 165, where I've been plateauing at lately.
Breakdown for PT 71:
LR1: -4
LG: -6
LR2: -5
RC: -4
Now I'm a little bit surprised about how I did on the other sections, considering they felt worse than usual but I am SHOCKED that I did that badly on LG. I legit thought that I went -2 or -3 on LG (I've just started guessing the rule-sub questions at this point) so I'm pretty pissed off that I left 4 points other points on the board.
Fuck. A year ago if 2016 me told 2015 me that I was sitting at a 165 plateau 2 weeks out from test day and that I was pissed off about it, 2015 me would probably slap this current version of me. Frustrating.

I'm a month into a new job, so working about 45 hours that week. Hasn't impacted me too much so far in terms of studying, I usually get about an hour of studying done on the commute back and forth, and then do minimum 2 hours when I get home. I've got some mandatory networking event I have to attend on the 22nd, but I'm planning on finishing my prep the 21st, so that shouldn't be a problem.appind wrote:how is the work/class load for those here the week of lsat?
