I got cured of that pretty quickly after my big outlier. Hit a 180 a week ago, and then followed it up with a 168 the next day. Back to hoping I stick at my average 172.buckiguy_sucks wrote:Downside of outlier score: Struggling to convince myself to drill right now

How on earth did that happen X_X
Also buckiguy what that outlier means is that you were 100% capable of getting that score, that day. Which means if you practice even more you'll get an even higher ceiling.
tl;dr drill baby drill

Accidentally retook pt 46 and hit 179 on it today. Also did pt 66 with a 170 but had an atypical -4 on lg. Starting to feel like I'm getting the rhythm back that I lost.

Well, the 180 was still a -3, so wasn't quite as exciting, and then for the 168, it was a really bad confluence of events. -7 on LG on two games I just didn't really get, with a -4/-2 on LR. -0 on RC was the only bright spot. Really shook my confidence though, and got me right back on the horse.

Well as long as you keep working hard you can do anything!

I must say, waking up still drunk and taking PT 57 w/ the dino game is a great way to scare one's self a week before test day...yikes.

Pt 67 today
Rc -3
Lr1 -1
Lg -2
Lr2 -1
173. Both lr questions I got wrong I originally marked correctly and changed during extra time at the end unfortunately.
170 on pt 66 last night also.
Somehow I can never go -0 on lg it is very frustrating.

You have time. Eliminate every Wrong answer choice before moving on. Slow down.

PT 65 and its historically friendly curve netted me a 178. I am starting to think that studying is paying off!!

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
I did PT 64 yesterday. 177.
-1 LG
-2 LR1
-0 LR2 (woot, woot!)
-1 RC
I will take this as a grain of salt, because I enjoyed the RC passages, and didn't panic during the games.
I took PT 65 in chunks today (just to give myself timed sections). So far -3 LR1 and -3 LG. Questions on LR1 were difficult, and I made some silly mistakes (I missed no. 5 because I didn't properly set up the argument structure!). But I took something valuable from question #18 and #19, and 25. I got 19 correct, but because it was the second kind of the type of question I noticed on the test.
Since I am a URM, I would be satisfied high 160s, considering I got waitlisted @ Stanford w/ a mid-160 this year. Of course, I am really wanting a 170!!
