I know that feeling. I just got eaten alive by the games section on PT60, leaving me with my lowest score in weeksSeamus887 wrote:Well LG decided to screw with me again.
PT 64
173
LG -4
LR1 -2
LR2 -0
RC -3
Perfect LG section would have got me a 177.... Looks like getting my goal will depend on what the LG section looks like on test day :/

It's difficult to describe, but it sort of feels like I'm just mindlessly going through the questions as opposed to being truly focused as I once was. As a result, I've been getting a few extra wrong and that's been knocking me off the 170+ train. Any advice on this?
If the automatic process is already occurring, spend large tracts of time just going through a large volume of questions with the goal of just being 100% accurate regardless of time. Working on your accuracy even if it takes you like 10 minutes on one question will help stop you from making careless mistakes because of what it reinforces. Just like print out 100 LR/50 RC questions and just be as accurate as possible. Do that like three times. Then see how much your test day processing has improved. It's almost entirely a pattern recognition issue.
P.S. One thing I've found mind bogglingly useful in my prep was initially focusing the Games section until it was flawless. Not only are the vast majority of my LG sections on Practice Tests almost perfect, perfecting games early meant that I was and am able to focus almost exclusively on Reading Comp and Logical Reasoning, which really maximizes my allotted practice time getting this close to game day. These sections are best served for last, I think, because the question types are remarkably similar to each other and because gains in LG are almost always the most easily achieved which can be big motivation to propel us forward.

LSAT free life is going well. I miss home, but at least I'm having cool experiences. I've been thinking that I definitely want to hit the LSAT again this coming cycle. I'm so masochistic.
I hope everyone kills it in June. So many new posters here. The task of hazing all of them is too daunting.

You nailed that description... it's definitely a pattern recognition issue. I'll print out some old sections from PT 1-20 and work it. So there's still a chance for a Cambridge bar crawl at ASW next cycle?

I don't think I could take until February so probably still the cycle after, but I'm always down for a ~*~elite~*~ bar crawl.

I know how you feel. But have faith!
It might be anecdotal but my outlier 179 on Friday just got a back up with 177 today!
Keep drilling and take another test tomorrow!
