In polls taken, its the number one reason students turn down UCLA. Traffic is a fu*king nightmare. Living close is just not a reality, so everyone commutes. I literally live 9 miles away. Takes me about an hour and a half to reach my seat on most days. 9 miles, dude. 9 miles.

I'd rather see this thread die at 6 pages than be the man who called a false gray

IMO gin is heavily dependent on what brand you drink. For a lot of liquors a $20 bottle will be fine for what you are doing with it. Like I don't notice a huge difference between Smirnoff and a top shelf brand. Similarly I find most ~20$ bourbons to be fine. Gin is different though. Drinking a mid tier / low tier gin vs a top shelf brand is a completely different experience because of how Gin is made. The botanicals determine the flavor profile so much that even among the top brands there are huge flavor differences and people tend to find one they prefer. All that being said I still prefer a good scotch...fishpaste1 wrote:Gin blows tbhpleadthafif wrote:I voted for gin and now it has a whopping 2 votes. Yall need a decent palate and possibly Jesus.

Being from the bluegrass state, I know a few connoisseurs who would disagree with your bourbon comment lol...but I agree with you about the vodkaTexasENG wrote:IMO gin is heavily dependent on what brand you drink. I agree for bourbon from the well known brands (JB, JD, WT) that you aren't getting a great product. But you can find a good tasting reasonably priced bourbon in the mid 20s (Four roses, Bulleit, Maker's) without having to move into a premium brand. I think for Gin personally I don't enjoy anything lower than a TanquerayAbbeyS wrote:Being from the bluegrass state, I know a few connoisseurs who would disagree with your bourbon comment lol...but I agree with you about the vodkaTexasENG wrote:IMO gin is heavily dependent on what brand you drink.
