i got bad news i live close to newton PA abotu an hour away. My power went out. I looked up that newton is suppose to get rain too....

I think it's possible, likely even, that those operations are completely separate. If purging the old scores was going to slow down the scoring/posting of new scores, I think they would have chosen a different time of year to do it.
I hope you're right.

From what I've seen in systems that are far larger and more complicated than LSAC's (I'm assuming), you'd be appalled if you knew what they did to those systems at the same time.
