I don't recall seeing this particular topic I want to bring up in previous messages, therefore:
Concerning dating in law school, is anyone else going in with an SO in your life? What plans do you guys have as far as making time for one another goes?

Married. She's planning on medical school... so it'll be busy I guess. Currently she works overnights and I work days so it can't be much worse than that. We were also both in the Marine Corps so have gone months without seeing each other. I know we'll be fine, but I anticipate some suckage. That said, law school sounds way easier than med school.notesfroma_i3 wrote:I don't recall seeing this particular topic I want to bring up in previous messages, therefore:

ETA: not planning anything, we'll just role with the punches. There is a good chance our schools will be an hour or so apart, and I am anticipating being the commuter. My main concern is making time for the dog lol.

Married also. I don't imagine it will be much different than a relationship where both people work FT. Though if you're asking because you'll be in 2 different locations, then yes, I'm sure it will suck. Long distance sucks but people do it all the time.mike0331 wrote:Married. I'm married with a son. Unless I go to Emory or GSU, we'll be living apart from one another due to her job in Atlanta. We'll make it work, we always do.notesfroma_i3 wrote:I don't recall seeing this particular topic I want to bring up in previous messages, therefore:

Yea, we'll probably break down and get him a companion... or as a friend pointed out, likely partner in crime.dmarieb wrote:mike0331 wrote:Lol I'm worried about my dog too. I don't want to have to leave him by himself all day.notesfroma_i3 wrote:...

Re: DECEMBER 2014 WAITERS (Score Release Poll is up!!)
That's crazy, and I have great respect for couples that that pull off the long distance. My parents are both Air Force and were away from each other often. I simply couldn't imagine. This is why my SO and I are planning to move in together wherever it is that I end up choosing for LS. We decided we wanted to hold off on marriage till after law school because spending our first year of marriage together while Ill still be new to the stresses of law school sounds like an awful idea. But I don't know if moving in together appears to be an "extreme" of some sort. I come from a family conservative Christian background so it isn't the most popular idea, but I frankly don't want to jump in because everyone else is telling me getting married is the best way to "quench the thirst."mike0331 wrote:
