Sure you did better than me on the LG section. Hope to hear its 170+
Sooooo....

I messed up the last game for a really dumb reason ---- forgot to account for the J being in T during the questions. Which basically tanked all the questions. Got them all correct on BR.

167 timed
174 BR.

What's weird is I feel like I'm noticing a difference between my ability to focus with glasses and contacts, and the latter being more conducive to focus.

Good luck in October gamerish!

There's a chance I won't be as ready for June as I want to be but I'm pushing through anyway. Question to all of the juniors in college out there: Are you just applying to law schools in the fall or are you applying to jobs as well? I'm going to be applying for jobs as well as law schools and am wondering how that'll work out if I have to retake the LSAT in December (can't in Oct) because I may need to accept or decline job offers before I hear back from law schools (especially if I need to retake).

Did mine too. LSAC has one of the ugliest and least intuitive websites I've ever seen, and the $90 fee is bullshit.

Up to mid 170s (174-175) from low 170s a week ago. -5 LR, -1 RC :D , -0 Games most recently. Rough curve but easy test, PT 55. One question missed because I missed the word except. Oh well.

Since cracking open the LR Bible and looking at Main Point and Must Be True/Most Strongly Supported questions, these seem almost trivial now. Hopefully I can do the same with the other LR types. I would be happy if I get down to the -1 LR, -1 RC, -0 games range.

Happy studying to all.

-7 for a score of 176 (friendly curve). That LG score is ugly but I blame it on that damn stained glass game. I straight up skipped one because I was taking too long on it, causing me to rush the rest, which is why I missed the other two.
Nice LR scores. Hoping to see something similar on PT 59 I took today. Congrats on the great score.

Applying as soon as I can in the fall and going to retake in October if necessary. I'm graduating early, though, so I'll be done in December and I'm working from Jan 2016 - Aug 2016 so I'll have about 8 months under my belt that year. If I'm lucky it'll be at the place I am working at this summer. Question though....would this count as WE for my applications? I wouldn't have technically worked those months yet but would it hurt to mention that I will have work experience when starting my 1L?

Yeah, I'm also planning on applying as soon as I can. I won't graduate until next June though so I won't even be able to commit to a job for more than 3 months of I decide to go to law school right away. And if I don't get into a school I like then I'll feel awful for turning down any job.

I don't think it will count as WE when you are applying if you didn't start working yet. However, I think it would be fine to include in your resume. Like if you submit it after you started working just put "start date - present" and if you didn't start yet you can put "start date x". And if it comes up in any interviews you can talk about it. But I am by no means an expert at how to go about doing that. Once you work for the 8 months or so then it'll be considered work experience, but not before.

PTing and blind reviewing today. My top priority over these last few weeks is to grow more comfortable with taking the test itself and mitigating any stupid errors. Other than that, I'd like to develop a rhythm into which the actual test slips into as seamlessly as possible.

I'm going in on drilling RC today. I've been on a business trip for the past three days, but surprisingly, I've been able to get more studying done on this trip than normally during the week on a back in the office. it's news to me, but apparently when you're out of the office, no one back home really bothers you with work to do :D

took some PTs and I'm scoring relatively well on LR (usually -3 to -5) and excellent on LG (-0 to -2), but RC is so bad. My last PT, I got a -9 on RC. Hopefully drilling through Volume 2 of the Cambridge LSAT RC book will help bring this back up.

zacboro wrote:Seamus, I experienced a 5 point drop on test day. It was due to burnout. I planned on taking the day before the test off, but then I changed my mind because of some TLS chatter. I did one of each section (timed) the day before and then even attempted to go over some of the most troublesome questions [troublesome in my opinion that is]. The morning of the test I did a section, game, and 7 LR questions at home. When I got to the TC I did more LR questions. My brain was on fire-in a good way. The first two sections went great for me. Then the 3rd section was LG and I misread two rules causing me to miss a few in the last game. LG is my absolute specialty, like I know how to LG. But I fudged up. Then during the last section, RC, I completely lost it. RC was my worst section as it is, so I didn't expect much. But I remember while taking it I just could not retain anything. It was disastrous. The point of this lengthy story is don't burn yourself out the day before. Warmup is completely acceptable, and encouraged IMO, but there's a difference between warmup and what I did to myself in Feb. If you wanna know how much warmup you think you should do just try a few different strategies before your PTs in the upcoming weeks.
I have felt that same feeling during LR a couple of times, where I find myself re-reading stims and just not holding anything in my head. It's frustrating for sure. I could see light drills day-of as being helpful, but not going overboard.
