You had me at season tickets to the stars. I wish my momma would make that offer for me to come home.ilikebaseball wrote:Ya, I heard that they made a HUGE coaching change and he's already bringing in some of the best recruits the program has had in years. Plus, they gotta great basketball team. PLUS, momma is offering season tickets to stars games if I go (she wants me to stay home). Obviously, sports is more important than preftige

Agreed. It's good for strengthening your foundational spacial reasoning skills, but once you know how to diagram specific game types, it's basically useless.Dirigo wrote:No. Trainer drops the ball on LG. Don't bother.JackelJ wrote:For those of you that have used the Trainer, is the LG section anything special? As in, if I'm already good at games is it worth looking at?

I go to 50% of home games anyway, but it really is a huge incentive. Shows where my priorities are at. If I got accepted to UT, I'd get season tickets to the Texas Stars (Dallas' best minor league affiliate).RaiderRed wrote:You had me at season tickets to the stars. edit: I'm also very fortunate that my grandpa's a lawyer in dallas, and he's willing to give me a little money each year if I go to SMU or UT. So, even though the good scholly that SMU gives out still doesn't cover the whole thing, I'd still probably have little to no debt cuz of being able to live at home + the education fund from him. So, if SMU actually does offer me the good package, I probably will end up there

I would too. I'm excited that Gaglardi bought them. And I really wanna see Campbell play. I want him to be the next long term goalie.ilikebaseball wrote:I go to 50% of home games anyway, but it really is a huge incentive. Shows where my priorities are at. Almost giving up on Campbell cuz of this season. Me and Kalvano (other huge stars fan on TLS) have talked about him before, and he just isn't doing as well as everyone hoped. I still hope he can turn it around, but he isn't even starting down there anymore. He lost his job because he was playing so poorly

I came into the fancy part of LA today to tour UCLA and now I'm studying at a coffee shop outside the MGM headquarters until my ride home gets here. You overhear the weirdest conversations here, damn.

Grrr....trying to raise my LSAT from 170 to 174+.
Anyone having problems with gauging how well you do once you get up to the 170's? Sometimes I feel like I got a 180 and check my score and it's a 170. Sometimes I feel like I'm at a 165 and I check and I'm at a 176. I've lost the ability to predict my scores.
Also, general advice for how to improve in the 170s? Is it futile? Mostly based on luck? My only advice is blind review.

As a Philosophy major, I can definitely confirm that you got Descartes' nuanced argumentation down to a T.zacboro wrote:Took a break from BR to do some reading for my philosophy class. Just read 3 of Descartes' meditations. They were basically him rambling on about how we know things or if we know things at all, yeah, chalking that one up to RC prep lol.

Great job zacboro!
Meanwhile, I got this question right both timed and in BR and I still have no goddamn clue what the stimulus even means.

Anyway, finally finished BRing yesterday's PT.
LR1 -4/-3
RC -3/-1
LR 2 -1/-2 (
LG -2/-0.
-10 to -6 for a 170--->174.
I don't know if I hate changing the right answer to the wrong one or realizing that I didn't even mark an answer as potentially problematic and then getting it wrong more.
Actually no, it's the second one, because the reason I got it wrong is always something dumb like missing a word in the stimulus or not noticing a modifier in the AC that makes it mean the opposite of what I think it means.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
