Do you guys think it's worth working for a year or two, solely from a scholarship consideration point of view?

I really want a full ride, but I keep seeing people with dope numbers who were KJDs and got short-changed.

168.

i am disappointed as i ran out of time for 2 qs on fifth LR section due to fatigue, and that could have pushed me into the 170. i pray that doesn't happen on the game day and i hope it give me some confidence that 17X score is attainable. it seems like the curve wasn't too bad and i missed total -15.
i have already looked at my RC score, which is -6, because i couldn't resist before doing BR.

how did people who have done PT-73 RC found it relative to other recent ones?
I took PT 73 on Friday, and also scored a 168, which was a few points lower than my two most recent tests (174 on PT 62, and 173 on PT 76). Honestly, the test burned me out. I really dropped the ball on LR (-5 and -4, respectively). I did go -2 on RC, though, so that really wasn't where I struggled the most on that test. But the passage about Marcusians and their views on advertising made me want to punch myself in the face. I think the amount of wrestling I had to do with that passage affected my confidence on the rest of the test.
i somehow didn't find that passage to be any issue but the arts passage is likely where i messed up and i found it very hard. it took me like 6-7 minutes only to read the passage and about 12 minutes overall on that one.

i found LR incredibly hard in both sections. there were some tough questions even very early on in the sections like somewhere between q1-q8, and some of the LR questions are very new not the kind you'd see in other 70s PTs including the recent ones. Due to reordering my last section was LR1 and I'd circled at least 5-6 questions on the LR with 25q but never got a chance to go back to them and it looks like i missed most of them.
Glad to know I wasn't alone on that LR. It really rocked my confidence, though, which led me to take the whole weekend off studying. But I'm going to BR it today, and hopefully get a few good lessons out of it given its difficulty in comparison to other LR sections.

All the new tests (I haven't checked but it sure feels like it), from the 50's to 70's seem to be ranked either 4 or 5 stars, dots, whatever. Probably true from an objective basis (when compared to RC passages from the 20's/30's/40's) but I get the impression this is the new normal for the foreseeable. If difficulty rankings are going to have value, it'd be nice to know if if PT7X is harder, easier or about average for the last, I dunno, 20 tests or so. In other words, make his ratings based on a moving average. Just a thought...
+1

Difficulty ratings have no value when all modern rc sections are rated 5-star

7sage has a great deal of data from people who enter their scantrons, and that could yield really great insights into variation in difficulty of say 75 rc versus 76 rc

Mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, I felt like I completely bombed just about every section, so I should be happy that I didn't. Going only -2 in that section is itself impressive.

That lg cost me a 17X score in dec.

EXP was LR from pt 31

LR: -5 Don't think i hit the warm enough well enough as i missed some level 1 questions early in the section
LG: -1
EXP LR: -0
RC: -1
LR: -1

I have no idea where this curve came from as I felt comfortable with the entire test. 18 more days

Guise,

I posted this a few pages back but it's got buried in the posts since.

I'm having trouble seeing the correctness of credited choice of 77.rc.q1. anyone understand this?

Psg only supports that ftp's nunits came closer to founding national black theatre than anyone else, not that they did found one. C says it founded perhaps a national black theatre. I eliminated C due to this distinction.

I feel like you should listen to Billy Joel - Vienna. It may help, as law schools and employers are less keen on KJDs these days in general I believe.

I didn't do a single PT Friday-Monday due to both a packed schedule and trying to offset burn out. Now I'm fully ready to do a PT after work today and I'm getting sick! It's definitely affecting my energy and, more importantly, my mood. I'm afraid of putting in a 12-13 hour day just to ruin my confidence with a crappy additude and score but I'm also afraid of taking another day off since I just had 4. Thoughts???

My only thought right now is that this sucks...which is about as constructive as it seems

We're living parallel lives it seems :|

one alternative is to compromise. do some drilling or an old pt or something, so you're not really having a day off, and you're not having your confidence destroyed by a low score.
also - if you're getting sick, be aware of that and put that consideration first. don't overexert yourself/ try to push through and ignore it, or it'll just get worse.

Marginally better on the RC today, but still not seeing overall improvement. Made dumb mistakes in AR, like misbubble and misread the question dumb, so I need to work on speed and accuracy. On the bright side, relying on splitting boards is helping my speed I think.

PT66
LR: -5
AR: -5
RC: -7
Score: 165

170+ eludes me again.

Dude, I'll be frank...the reason you probably aren't getting responses is because people tend to save the most recent tests for the very end of their prep. (I know in June I even saved 75/76/77 for this take--had a premonition I'd be in retake hell). So, all this to say you probably aren't being ignored, people are just keeping their powder dry. Good luck! :)

You're getting hung up on "perhaps." Passage says they arguably came closer to founding a national black theatre. C says they created what was perhaps a black national theatre. That's roughly equivalent. Let's run thru the others to be sure:

A. No mention of their talent or influence. Eliminate.
B. Passage not concerned with "all programs" of the US gov. Eliminate.
D. Passage not concerned with what types of plays are best known today. Eliminate.
E. Yes, the passage talks about the great depression, but the lifeline came from the FTP at large, not just the nunits. Also, this isn't the main point, but rather the background what allowed the nunits to do what they did. Eliminate.

I thought "came closer to founding X than anyone else" has a connotation or inference that they attempted and came close but didn't really found X. So it seems a leap to say that it's same as " founded perhaps what was X", which has an opposite connotation which is that they likely founded X.
I dont know, is this a settled issue about connotation of the stmt in the passage?
Im not sure if there is consensus on whether these two statements are same in meaning or have opposite connotation among experts, but I thought the latter. I see why other choices are no good, but MP questions have such choices that are eliminatable per lsac standards if the two statements above don't have exactly the same meaning.

In a similar boat wrt RC. I do fine in old RC, it's the new RC that's trouble.

When I waited an hour for class to start and you're sitting in class ready for class but the professor emails you 5 mins before class that it's cancelled LMFAO

E: now it's raining and I have no umbrella and have to walk about 20 mins :D :D :D

congrats on the score! massive improvement!

I also just finished up PT 77, gonna BR and score tomorrow. I might have actually gone -0 on games:

the third rule is the key to this game, and pretty much the only rule that matters.
granted, I took PT 77 as my actual administration, but I guessed on all 5 questions for G3 and didn't look up any explanations so I really had no advantage besides knowing it was going to be hard, so I went ahead and did the 4th game before the 3rd

I regret taking the LSAT before mastering LG, though :(

edit: scored the LG section and went -1. missed #15 (G3), which is the only one I circled

did PT 77 today. went -1 on LG and feeling really good on the RC and LR1. LR2 was a bit more difficulty and I spent too much time spinning my wheels on a couple questions so we'll see how that goes. gonna BR and score tomorrow.

Decided to do PT 63 despite being sick and I am I happy I did! The LG on this test was easy for me for some reason and I feel really confident in my score (other than RC...I had some difficulty with the objectivity passages). It's kind of just the confidence boost I needed.

for work? you'll DEFINITELY have options. if by good you mean prestigious or very high-skilled work, then idk, but that's by no means necessary.
