I feel that completely. But mine comes from a false belief in my selected answer being the correct answer, leading to me failing to circle many questions because I truly believe 100% I got them right.zacboro wrote:Ughh, so even though I acknowledge that BR is the best thing to do, and I will continue to do it, it is SOOO time consuming. So lately during my LR sections I've been circling less questions even if I'm a little unsure because I want to save time. Today it totally back fired and I ended up going -4 BR, with two of the questions being ones that I didn't circle. If I would've circled them I really think I would've caught the mistakes during BR. But it just takes so much time. Okay, today was a wake up call, no more cutting corners on circling questions to BR! Anyone else feel this struggle?

You're pretty stubborn, Zacbro. I've found that whenever you post about problems you've encountered in your prep, you dismiss suggestions that others give you until you've stumbled further. Do you actually want feedback, or am I wasting my time? My toughness is intentional. Don't take it personally.zacboro wrote:Ughh, so even though I acknowledge that BR is the best thing to do, and I will continue to do it, it is SOOO time consuming. I didn't really understand SA and NA after reading the Bible, though I thought I had. I found the Trainer to be a huge help because it explicity outlined the differences between the question stems being the tip to knowing what to look for. Dave Hall has a useful video where he discusses the distinction as well. I think at one point in my prep I was so frustrated that I googled it and I recall JY having a pretty good freebie explanation on it. After it clicked, I felt really dumb. But then I drilled the Cambridge packets and the differences become very apparent and they are now my favorite question type(s). Yay!RaiderRed wrote:The crazy thing is, after reading LR Bible, I thought I understood NA and SA...what even is life at this point?nlee10 wrote:Now that you know the difference between NA and SA, you're golden for LR.RaiderRed wrote:I've been confusing "depends on assuming" and "if assumed...properly drawn"

Yes. In fact, a couple of pages back I expressed the same sentiments.zacboro wrote:Ughh, so even though I acknowledge that BR is the best thing to do, and I will continue to do it, it is SOOO time consuming. It sounds that in your review, you are only focusing on reviewing the questions you circled and the ones you got wrong. I would suggest taking this one step further and combing through all of the sections and going through each question one by one to make sure you understand the fundamental reasoning behind each CR, as well as the incorrect ones. Make a note of which ones gave you trouble - I used a purple pen to note those. After you've gone through that (this should all occur post-BR - meaning after you've tried a second attempt on the ones that gave you trouble during the section), go through the purple marks and the ones you got wrong post-BR (I used a red pen for this) and note the question type. Make a spreadsheet tracking your progress and note these questions and their types. Drill tf out of those question types. Come back in a week or so and reattempt the ones you got wrong.zacboro wrote:Yes I am stubborn but yes I do appreciate feedback... I don't remember all ready talking about BR though. And I ended up taking your advice yesterday.Shakawkaw wrote: You're pretty stubborn, Zacbro. I forget if you're taking in June or Febs. If you're not feeling ready for Feb, consider postponing. If you're going to prep, do it correctly and thoroughly. The test isn't going anywhere, but it alone holds the potential to take you places.
This is advice that I'm giving you from my previous two takes and things I wish I had done better/was more diligent about for my first take. I was not very disciplined with myself and allowed myself to cut corners. Don't be a beta, zacbro.

I really wanted to just get into Fordham and take out loans when I first started my LSAT takes...luckily Rigo pointed out I needed to look closer at job prospects and cost/scholarships instead of taking out large sums of loans! But you should totally check out Nova Southeastern. I'm telling ya, I feel like it's on the up.Smallville wrote:im just gunna take in feb and go to Fordham... who'se with me? She already has a job upstate, graduated... was part of a panel of LS grad's (one from NY Law, NYU, and some other decent ones i think) and whenever she talked she refered to how awesome Fordham was and u could see in everyone else up there's faces that she has no idea what she's talking about lol but I mean she does seem to be doing what she wants and enjoying it so yeahilikebaseball wrote:I know who you're talking about.
