FWIW some poeple have advised taking the newer PTs sooner rather than later. This gives you time to properly fix any problems that occur more frequently on the more recent tests.zacboro wrote:Just got PT 72, 73, & 74 in the mail today ... I love the way PTs look individually bound. Not taking them until the week before game day thoughBut really THAT'S ONLY 2 WEEKS AWAY.

I'll second this. I take it a step further though, and don't even do full PTs in the last week. If you're at out above your target score, and feeling good about the test, why risk a bad performance to wreck your confidence? Much better to just drill in the homestretch.JackelJ wrote:FWIW some poeple have advised taking the newer PTs sooner rather than later. Sufficient Assumption questions are really getting to me. I keep getting the question wrong even after I sit here reading the stem over and over again. Does anyone have any tips for approaching these questions?

Used to hate them also and now they're one of my favorite question types. First thing you must understand is that you should be able to spot the missing link/skip before looking at the answer choices. Just spot the gap and make sure the correct answer choice makes the argument airtight. Choices that are broad/extreme (all, every, any, etc.) are good for this type of question. JY from 7sage mentioned that you should never get these answers wrong since the answer is almost always predictable. Also, why exactly are you having problems with SA questions? Is it the conditional logic, dense stimuli, etc?ccordero wrote:Sufficient Assumption questions are really getting to me. What's wrong with the Manhattan RC explanations?zacboro wrote:So what does everyone use to help with RC questions they got wrong? Like for LR questions I got wrong I go to Manhattan Explanations, and for RC I used to go to Velocity, but Dave doesn't have explanations for PTs <30 ... I know Manhattan has explanations for these RC questions but does anyone have any other suggestions of a site to go to?

Everyone has an off day from time to time. No worries, Whacka. Maybe take a day off.whacka wrote:Today's PT: 72
RC: -4 (3 came from one section)
LR: -6
LG: -3 (like I said before, that last game was ridiculous)
-13 for a score of 170 because of a generous curve
This is really upsetting to me. I thought I'd hammered RC down to at most a -2, but hopefully it was just that one passage that caused my downfall. LR especially is upsetting to me because that's usually a very strong point for me, getting -3 in both sections is just unacceptable. As for LG, that game was a doozie. I don't really know what to do about this, this has really dampened my day.

Taking PTs 66 & 60 back to back tomorrow. 60 is a retake but I haven't seen it in many months. Should be fun...
