It's probably gauche to bitch about a 176, but I'm going to be that asshole anyway. I'm still making stoopid fucking errors on LG! WTF?! Seriously, I destroyed this PT. I suplexed it into the ropes. But, no matter how good I get on this test, I way too frequently go -2/-3 on LG (-5 on the June administration). And this on the "most learnable" section. Drives me nuts.

Anyway, rant off. I intend to have a date with 7sage tonight where we quaff a bottle of Beaujolais together while discussing the finer points of in/out games. En vino veritas.
Very nice score nonetheless, bro. I feel you with the LG thing though, it's frustrating when you even go -1 on the section, but it happens, man.
THERE YOU GO WITH THE DRINKING AGAIN, HUH!?!?!? Meer in/out games fool proof method???

I actually just redid PT70 LG set right now before I started typing (-0 in slightly less than 30 mins). I think I went like -4 on it about a week or so ago when I took this PT. I thought the LRs were tough though, did you?

Also, the bolded

Hey man...works for Personal Statements. Gunna see if chemical enhancement works for LG as well!

(I might need to chill on the booze when I get to law school as I've heard alcoholism is a serious problem for law bros...things to think about.)

I found one LR section remarkably harder than the other (the -2). I've noticed this tendency of late...no data to back up this observation just a guy feeling.

But, onto happier topics, nice to see your scores improving man. It's good to see the June waiters seeing some successes.

Yeah, although I'm not feeling 100% in my abilities to get something like a 180, I'm DEFINITELY feeling much more confident this time around for the test. Hopefully I don't panic during the test again.. smh i suck lol

Yeah, one of the LR sections on that PT was level 5 difficulty on 7sage, i think it was the 2nd one i don't remember but it was def hard.

Feel that. I've been doing LG much longer and more intensely than any other section, and it's my strongest section on drills, but my lowest for PTs. Idek tbh??

Also congrats on the fantastic score!

Thanks guy! I think certain parts of this test favor Myers-Briggs "P-types" over "J-types". LG definitely favors "J-types". (Fully acknowledging most Myers-Briggs is complete bullshit...but you get my drift). In my MBA program many years ago I took the full test and was off the charts P. So, I think LG reveals my preferences.

Terrible, that's all I will say.

I was in fact a bit under-prepared for June, so I'll take responsibility for that. Also, i didn't do as many PTs as I should have, and probably got lucky on a few of the ones I did anyways, lmao. But most of it was the fact that during the test I literally blanked out, I didn't know wtf to do and knew I was going to bomb it. Maybe some form of test anxiety? Idk, but it sometimes happens on my PTs now.

SHIT. THAT'S IT.
Also off the charts P over here. (it's a problem  ) Clearly, this is A Thing. :o

(Myers-Briggs is indeed BS, but I love it oh so much..)

Why, and does it have anything to do with point 3.
It does, plus a 2.7ish UGPA and a resume that reads something like tire sales, carpenter, auto parts sales, mechanic, carpenter again, chainsaw guy, carpenter again, chainsaw guy again.

I actually had frozen yogurt for the first time the other day. Strawberry flavor from this kosher place (I'm not kosher, my friend is and I went with him) and it was actually really good! Tasted just like strawberry ice cream tho

Man well, I wish you good luck in whatever you do. Probably don't need it if you have the type of mind to make easy work of the LSAT.

I mean, if I decided I want to be a lawyer, there's plenty of good law schools I can get into. I'm only 40, so I have plenty of time to decide what I want to be when I grow up. I've been studying accounting and I'm 7 credits away from being eligible to take the CPA exams. So LSAT is pretty much a hobby for me at this point, and law school is a backup plan if I find that I can't stand accounting.

If you want a pretty tight cheap wine, Col di Sasso from Castello Banfi. It's a ridiculously good value ($10/750), and you can buy it in a jeroboam or methuselah ($60-70 IIRC).

Going to try to get to bed early tonight and actually get a decent amount of sleep, and hopefully do 77 before class tomorrow. I guess we'll see if taking an off-day before a PT has made me forget all my skills or not.

I really hope my brain can snap out of teenager-mode (wrt sleep schedule) soon-ish

Spent my day writing PT 76. Usually I'll just write 1 a week, but I knew I wouldn't have a day off outside of weekends again so I wrote today. Ended up scoring a 163 which I'm pretty disappointed with, but I know it's at least partially due to burn out. Last 3 tests have gone 167->166->163, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing wrong and I know how to adjust for the last 2 PTs I take.

I've posted my LSAT story here a few times, so there's no point in my re-hashing it but I wrote PT 76 last October, and again I am thinking WTF IS THAT THIRD GAME?! Also, how is it only curved to -11 with a weird ass games section like that and IMO, an above average difficulty RC section.

One thing I've noticed with my RC studies is that my lost points have no correlation with the ranked difficulty of the passage according to 7sage. I don't really know what to do with that information.

Mmmmmmm sounds perfect. I'm a sucker for $10 wine. My personal favorite is Gascon Malbec. Thanks for the recommendation.

I think 7sage needs to readjust his RC difficulty rankings. All the new tests (I haven't checked but it sure feels like it), from the 50's to 70's seem to be ranked either 4 or 5 stars, dots, whatever. Probably true from an objective basis (when compared to RC passages from the 20's/30's/40's) but I get the impression this is the new normal for the foreseeable. If difficulty rankings are going to have value, it'd be nice to know if if PT7X is harder, easier or about average for the last, I dunno, 20 tests or so. In other words, make his ratings based on a moving average. Just a thought...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
