The deadline to change your test date online is May 24th. If they're giving you the option to change your test date at all, then they must be planning to at least make the October date available (at least by switching from the May date) by then.

Also also, I'm gonna be checking TLS a lot / talking a lot in here but I'm going to try to obsess less than last time.. wish me luck folks.
No idea about the GPA, does it matter that much? I guess maybe that .01 increase will put you at the median or over the median for some T14 but I wouldn't obsess about .0006. You graduate this June or you have another year of UG left?

And good luck. I did quit looking at this thread for awhile when it was distracting but maybe I'll hang around here more since its seemed to be pretty on topic the past few days.

Last year I registered for the September test on May 19th (no idea how long it was available before then when I registered) so I think you'll be fine if they open it up on a similar date this year.

Yeah me too (for the having 1 year left and wanting to apply in September). I wouldn't worry about it, you can always just work to raise it above 3.76 and then update the schools after you apply if you haven't gotten a decision back

Hoping I am not too late to join the party. I started studying about a week ago, and this week to the test (finals are over), I will be studying intensely.

I took the June 2007 PT cold and scored a 162!!!!!!!!! :-( . My goal is upper 170s. -0 on games, -10 on RC, and -2/-7 on LR.

Since taking some more PTs I am at about 170. Games are my strength, I missed three questions on one game because I misread it, other than that perfect. However, I heard that the LSAT does not permit one to use scratch paper. Since I have been using scratch paper, I need to learn a strategy to have my work concisely on the offered page.

Clearly RC and LR are my weaknesses, especially RC. I cannot be missing 10 questions out of 28. I have been studying the Bible and am getting down to about -4. I need to improve this to -0 and -1 obviously.

I haven't looked at the LR bible yet, though I have done some practice sets and am down from -9 to -2 (usually -3/-3). I need to get this down to -0/-1 per section.

I have been tracking the kinds of questions missed in everything, and it is an amalgam of all question types.

So, does anyone on this board
a) Think it is possible to raise my score to upper 170s for test day (would need to be scoring 179 and 180 on PTs to account for the drop)
b) Have any tips to get to the next level in RC/LR besides the Bibles?

Thanks and good luck to everyone taking this demonic test in June!!!

After getting beaten up by my last few PTs, I rebounded a bit on PT55 (Oct 2008): -3LR; -4RC; -0LG for a 172.

Very few of the old timers are here now. Sad. I think I should pack up and move to the Oct. thread.

You're not taking June, right?
Have you been jamming out to 212 recently?
Lastly, are you gonna be my girl?

I'm gonna be honest with you, 162-177 in <4 weeks is crazy ambitious, but you're in a great place for october!
Thanks! I still may decide to change dates, but the June one is the only one offered in the afternoon! I tend to perform much better any time that is not the morning.

I did take the cold diag about three months ago, and I did some practice LR questions on varsitytutors, but it was last week that i really ramped it up. Now that finals are over I am planning to study for 8 hours per day. I may even postpone starting my job until after the LSAT. Besides a weekend lost due to surgery, I really can do nothing but study.

I'm now down to about -0 LG, -3/-3=-6 LR, -4 RC which is landing me in the 170 range.

If anyone has any advice on how to get to the next level with RC specifically, that would be great. I am trying to actively read, demarcate the important VIEWSTAMP features (Bible terminology for viewpoints, structure, tone, and main point), but it seems like I have hit a wall here since the distribution of questions missed per passage in a full section is zero, one, one, and two questions.

Happy studying to everyone!

The LSAT does not allow scratch paper, but since June 2012 (PT 66) each game has been spread across two pages instead of one. If you are doing older preptests, it's probably legit to give yourself one page of scratch paper per game and you'll still be using the same amount of space that you would get on a newer test.

Actually this test is one page per game. Schemp is right in that the two-pages per game format starts June 2012.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
