The D1 athlete could definitely help you out! I would agree that a 168 would be the bare minimum, unless you are URM, to make it in though. What were you PTing at?RonnyDiniro wrote:Unfortunately not, I'm well below it at a 3.29. No URM here. I was consistently between 171-174 the last 5 tests I took. As long as I didn't get absolutely destroyed by the RC in Feb I think I should fall in the lower side of that range again. Who knows though, RC was a doozy for meJD116 wrote:The D1 athlete could definitely help you out! I would agree that a 168 would be the bare minimum, unless you are URM, to make it in though. Well as long as there were no odd testing experiences or mistakes you made with bubbling, I'll bet you hit 170+. As it stands, I'm not sure. Waiting on $ and my new LSAT score.RonnyDiniro wrote:JD, are you going to attend UCLA?

Your situation sounds pretty much identical to mine, except substitute Vanderbilt for UCLA. I was a D1 athlete and it absolutely slayed my GPA my first two years. I improved it a bunch my last two years, but could only raise to a 3.15. I regret my terrible study habits my first two years so much now.RonnyDiniro wrote:Unfortunately not, I'm well below it at a 3.29. Have you guys looked into the housing options around campuses you're interested in? I looked out of curiosity one day & the ones by UCLA were almost comical lol...like you can't find an apartment that doesn't make you share a bedroom

Fish, I feel for your pain. I would give anything to go back and slap myself for not giving a shit those first two years. I'm a UCLA undergrad. It's tough within a mile radius, but you just have to settle on commuting a little bit for UCLA. You don't want the surrounding area anyway, unless you're wealthy. It's literally in between Brentwood and Westwood, among the most expensive, wealthiest areas in the US. You have to look around Culver City, and spots in Santa Monica for good deals. That's an exception you make for the weather, and UCLA.AbbeyS wrote:Have you guys looked into the housing options around campuses you're interested in? Makes sense. I just don't know how I'd feel about commuting a long way with LA's rep for heavy traffic. Guess those are just things you have to put up with to get to live in Cali

In polls taken, its the number one reason students turn down UCLA. Traffic is a fu*king nightmare. Living close is just not a reality, so everyone commutes. I literally live 9 miles away. Takes me about an hour and a half to reach my seat on most days. 9 miles, dude. 9 miles.
