Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
First timer here, not sure how to feel about today.
Compared to PTs I've taken I found LG to be average, RC abit easier than average, and LR harder than average. I'm surprised to see people consider October's LR harder, I took it Wednesday and got -1 and -2, and thought today's was noticeably harder. I had to guess on the last question pf the 26 question one, which almost never happens to me in LR.
That question about mountains and flooding on LR was brutal imo.
Mirrors on RC was not an easy concept to grasp, but the questions asked about it weren't that hard, I found the online gaming one had a few questions with what seemed like multiple good answers.
This wait is going to be hard...

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
Idk how u managed to not feel sleepy while taking it with only 3 hours. I would be dead... Kudosbee wrote:real rc was easier, the judges passage on the exp rc was the first passage in a LONG time that had me wtfing. cant say i was unhappy to see that it was the exp.snagglepuss wrote:I'm a big nep fan largely b/c I feel only he and I fully grasp the brilliance of LSAC.bee wrote: snag filling in for nep as lsac's personal white knight
Unrelated but my sleep schedule is seriously fucked. I've been going to sleep between 4-6am for a couple of weeks and going to work at 9. I stayed up last night until past 4 listening to Glenn Gould's Beethoven on spotify.
I can't decide if exp. RC or real RC was easier. I'm just very happy about RC after my faceplants on RC on previous LSATs. I think the mirrors passage structure stuck out like a sore thumb; it was one of those RC passages where you don't really have to refer back to the text.
OTOH who knows i couldve bombed the real one, lol.
i only got like 3ish hours of sleep last night. last minute illnesssomehow managed to make it through the whole test though, lol.
CANT WAIT TO SLEEP IN TOMORROW instead of getting up at 830 to pt.
eta: neps going to be TSO HAPPY

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
Sorry if this has already been answered, but did anyone else have LG-LR-RC-RC-LR? I just want to know which section of RC was experimental.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The judges comparison passage was definitely way harder than the WoW comparison passage. But W.E.B. vs. Hughes was so great.

No. I finished in 2 minutes flat. There was nothing to that game at all.dosto wrote:I hope I didn't miss something and this won't come back to bite me in the ass, but the first LG was probably the easiest one I've ever done. Or I misread a rule.

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
But the fact that it never happened implies a policy preference that one would have to positively show there's reason for the LSAT makers to abandon. It's extremely unlikely to happen now.
Lol you can't be serious. Might as well hope for a -14 since we are using bs logic.
It's unlikely for the curve to be less than -11, and I'd wager to that, fully loving my odds.

Re: December 2013 LSAT waiting thread
i know this is overkill, but can someone who had TWO LOGICAL REASONING SECTIONS please confirm for me:
did any of your LR sections contain "two-part" questions (where there is one stimulus for two questions?)
i agree the games were harder than october, but i think LR and RC was easier. happy this was 101 questions, im predicting at least a -12 curve!

LG was a ridiculously easy section. But then I average -1 for LG.

I saw that. Went with brute force as well. Worked fine. Wow, I ignored the same inkling. And then at the end I facepalmed at all the time I wasted bruting that game. We probably have the same terrible (but effective) LG strategies.dosto wrote:I also saw the potential for solving for all possibilities in third game pretty early on but lol nope just stuck to the brute.snagglepuss wrote:No. I finished in 2 minutes flat. my LR experimental wasn't even that bad, but it happened right after my LG section which left me really agitated, so i was all over the place. the summarizing game wasn't actually that bad but the rules were stated in such a strange way that i completely misread them, and by the time i figured it out, it was too late. definitely got at least -3 on that. stupid.
