i have noticed that there is a thread for Blind Review but most of them say that blind review is for PTs and not for drills. So I was wondering if any of you guys could share how you review your LR drills (if no formal explanation is given)? do you use the manhattan forums? do you do them again? anything is helpful.

I am asking this because from I understand reviewing is the key for a high LSAT score so I want to ensure I am doing it the right way.

For me i go back to the question I got wrong or wasn't sure of the answer (for all my drills I try to take my time to be sure of the answer cos I do them untimed) and then break down the argument. I write down the conclusion and what supports the conclusion, then I evaluate what is missing or error in the reasoning to help me find an answer. Then I write out why 4 of the answer choices are wrong and why the correct one is correct. I also sometimes try to figure out why I got it wrong and write it down as an advice. For example sometimes I find myself reading too fast and overlooking some words. I only consult manhattan forum if I'm still not finding the right answer.

I don't diagram that much and maybe it's because I haven't done a lot of MBT questions yet.

Dang Louie that's some serious physical work!

I am continuing going through the Trainer and the PS LGB simultaneously. I'm doing ok on the games (for this stage in my prep)- I'm making inferences but very slowly and getting about 80 percent of the simple ordering and advanced ordering and grouping. And on two of the games I got zero right. Ha! PLanning on drilling all LG 1-38 three times according to pithypike method once I finish the Bible and go through Manhattan LG.

Finished the flaw lessons in the Trainer today (chaps 4 through 9 or something like that). There are 8 "fairly challenging" questions dealing with flaws. I got 5 right, so a long way away from where I need to be. But June is a long way away too.

I do feel like I am starting (emphasis on the word starting) to gain skills in terms of attacking LR. Looking at the question stem then finding the flaw, unless it is one of the types of stems that do not require that method of attack. Obviously the gains will come when I drill like a madman, which I will start once I complete the Bible and Manhattan LR.

But in LG.....man, am I slow

Score 175+

Need from a partner:
Someone with similar goals, although if you are aiming for a lower score that is fine, as long as its above 170.
Someone that is well into their preparation.
Dependable and looking for a partner as well.
I want a partner not so much for the accountability factor, but just to be able to brainstorm together or help each other out on weaknesses.
Communication over email or Skype.
No set schedule or amount of times to talk, but like I said someone that wants a partner as well and wants to get the most out of the experience of having a partner.

Do y'all have any tips for organizing rules/contrapositives/inferences on LG?

Example: I just did the "birds in the forest" game (Dec 2000) and I got only 5 out of 7 correct and it took me about 30 mins. The two that I missed were a result of just not linking all those contrapositives together in an organized fashion. I had like 15 rules/contrapositives! How do you guys keep all those straight and organized so that you can find them quickly if you need them???!!!!

I have heard that there is a different method called the logic chain, which is featured in M LSAT, which I am going to read after I finish the LGB. Maybe the answer is that the method of writing out all those contrapositives is what's getting me.

I've done this game about 15 or 20 times.

I think the best tool to get great at games is watching JY's 7Sage videos.

I'm also looking for a study buddy! I'm fairly early in my preparation. (I remember freshman year of college when I joined these boards, people said not to study more than six months. Has the opinion on this changed? lol)

I will be in a completely different time zone from most people, because I'm going to be back in Paris starting in mid January. (Anyone else in Paris? If so, PM me and we can study at the Pompidou or the Louvre or something. [I feel like obnoxiously loud tourists would make for good study conditions.])

Anyways, my goal is to improve to at least a 175, but I'm shooting for a 180 because why not?

^ Goals. I caught up with my LSAT Trainer study schedule. LR is starting to make a lot more sense and I seem to be getting the same types of questions wrong, which is apparently a good thing at this point. Looking forward to moving on to RC and LG.

Guess I should have mentioned. Ever since I left school for the winter break, I have done literally nothing but LSAT everyday, spending 40+ hours a week. (about 6 hours or more a day.)

results also show that the drilling has been effective. Finishing 25 questions takes me ~29-30 minutes. getting about -2/-3 most of the time.

When reviewing, I dont move on till I fully understand the question at hand. sometimes, i'll spend greater than 30 minutes on a question. But then again, I have 6 hours or more to study, so I am still able to get ALOT of lsat drilling done.
