+1 I'm surprised I've not had nightmares about that game. Not sure why I completely tripped up on it, and ended up having to more or less blind guess on three questions.bmili wrote:Im having fearful thoughts about the Painting game

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
So what time of the day do these scores seem to be released?
I was pretty calm about all of it for awhile, but now I've decided I have no idea how it went. Gross.
It's funny I was reading that a score of 170 or higher represents the top two percent of LSAT takers. For anything else in my life I'd be incredibly satisfied to score in the top two percent.
Tomorrow it might mean a retake.

They are released in batches throughout the night/day. That being said, they can be released whenever. It's pretty much a gamble.kelly512 wrote:So what time of the day do these scores seem to be released?

So - my acceptance letter to Memphis Law comes tomorrow or Saturday and my LSAT score does as well.
This sucks. If the score I get this time would have gotten me in and my 159 doesn't, Ima go crazy, considering I feel like I could have gotten a 170 on this.

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
Was at a casino yesterday trying to kill some time before score release. Entered a $40 tournament where 1st place would get 800 bucks. I busted bubble, which means I got out 10th, right before the fuckin final table. I had AK suited and guy with AQ unsuited calls me and catches a damn queen. I hate poker and love it at the same time. I had second most in chips, so I could have cruised into the final table if the guy with the most chips had not called me and got lucky. As is my life, instead of a guaranteed 150 bucks or so, I went home with none. I did finish in 5th place in another $40 tourney last saturday though. I was really hoping to have extra cash, so I can go to a local bar and drink away either my sorrow or joy. I am ridiculously nervous now for the score. I keep telling myself that there is no way I scored below a 160. Let's hope that my instinct is right for once. If not, I still got into some decent T2 schools and life moves on. Good luck all!

So, it turns out I am too colorblind to tell if my icons are grey or green.
I guess I will just use the length of this thread as my proxy.

I am in the exact same boat. I am hoping for a 163 give or take, but if it is in the high 150s I guess Ill be in a tier two school.

I totally bombed the 3rd game. Games were my strength uintil now. Spent too much time and missed the last game entirely and I would have finished it no mistakes
. Not sure what this does for my score but prob reapplying all together next year.
When do the scores come out? Monday or Sat? maybe I will get good news the day before my bday.

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
I have so much to do today, but all I want to do is sit here on TLS and see if everyone else is as nervous as I am.
I'm retaking anything lower than a 170 and I had to guess on like 4 questions in both RC and LG so I know that I'll likely be signing my soul over to the June test, but every now and then I get this little niggling "maybe you got a couple of those right and didn't miss very many on LR" and I get my hopes up. My brain then tries to tell me that even if I didn't get any of my guesses correct, the following is a possibility:
LG: -4
LR:-2
LR:-2
RC:-4
Total: -12 for a (hopeful) 170.
The rest of my brain knows it's not going to happen. The rest of my brain knows that I likely got a 163 or something, which would be very disappointing for me, as I was scoring in the 170s for my last like... eight PTs.
I want my score now plz.

Gosh, I wish I was as good at RC as you if you're fairly sure you didn't miss any other than the ones you guessed on. I've broken 170 while missing more on RC than the other three sections combined.

If it's a 5+ point increase and the applicant is only 22-23, I think that would be the smart move.oldmerovingian wrote:So you would delay law school for one year just to score a few points higher?

It wouldn't be a delay for me -- I'm applying next cycle either way. I took the Feb test because I wanted to be able to take the test twice if I had to and still apply September 1st to give myself the best shot at my dream school.oldmerovingian wrote:So you would delay law school for one year just to score a few points higher?vissidarte27 wrote:I have so much to do today, but all I want to do is sit here on TLS and see if everyone else is as nervous as I am.

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
The blinds were ridiculous at this point, 1000 SB and 2000 BB, I was BB and had 6000 in chips left after BB, there were 3 guys in front of me. Two of them had like 4000 left and the big stack had like 1000 more than me. I knew that if I only raised, I would be left with barely any chips if the flop did not go my way, so I decided to go all in hoping that they would all fold. Honestly, the guy with the big stack should have folded. He was risking his tourney with AQ when he was guaranteed money if he waited. Unfortunately for me, he called. I should have just showed him my cards and told him to fold. I think if I ever end up that close to a final table again, I am going to do that. Haha, end rant. I hope we both get a 165 and can go get wasted.oldmerovingian wrote:Did you just push all in or did you raise, and then he called or reraised? If the curve is a hypothetical -11, what kind of raw score would it take to hit a 165?

Haha, those blinds must have gone fast! I don't blame you, you made the right move. You are absolutely right, he should have folded. There is no reason to call an all in with AQ in that position.risktaker wrote:The blinds were ridiculous at this point, 1000 SB and 2000 BB, I was BB and had 6000 in chips left after BB, there were 3 guys in front of me.
