BR PT69 today. Anyone else who did this PT lately, did you find passages 2 and 4 kind of hard?? I felt like P1 and P3 were easy, and that P2 and P4 were tough af
Can't remember the specific order the passages were in anymore but I felt like I struggled with this RC more than I usually do.
I went -4 on that section, -2 on P2 and -2 on P4
Hmm, see, I knew I wasn't bugging out lmao. I feel like I got most points taken off on those 2 passages, although I haven't reached RC in my BR yet.
I am not sure if this is the best advice, but I noticed that sometimes I end up doing this when Im struggling on a passage and it seems to work. Maybe it will help you, maybe not? But- Try just not using a method verbatim per-say and just read the passage closely.

Read the first 2-3 sentences of Intro so you get the gen idea, then read the body paragraph and conclusion. All while jotting a word or two next to each major area or circling a power sentence to show you where important items are in the paragraph. Then go through the questions and refer to those mapping notes.

Couldn't hurt just to try on a section and see how you do. Maybe you are stressing about the methods too much and for whatever reason thats why your not clicking. Its not that you suck at RC- you are obviously intelligent enough to do well in it, so try some different things and you will figure it out!

I took at Pace Uni for June and they were quick with check-in and I had nice/respectful proctors. Retaking somewhere else due to it being filled up for Sept
Phew - good to know. I took it at Brooklyn last time and it was a shit show. Registration/check in was fine, but the temperature of the room was ridiculous. Nervous to do a new TC but heard great things about Pace.
Yeah! Wish I could take it at Pace again but I'm taking at my UG this time and I know the rooms where they administer the test so I feel like I will be comfortable there. I've heard terrible things about Brooklyn, lmao.
Brooklyn just sounds like a terrible testing center haha... Have you heard anything about NY Law School. I made the rookie mistake of mistaking it for NYU law school, but Im hoping its fine.
I know someone who took it at NYLS and actually ended up going there ( whatever, his life lol) and he said it was a decent TC. I think he said that you're put into lecture hall rooms for the test, I don't remember though. I know for CUNY Law (if anyone is taking it there), they put you into lecture hall rooms so you have enough arm space for yourself.

Thanks. My method is to just read the passage and keep in my head a short summary of what each paragraph entails. I also circle names because even though I can, for the most part, remember where someones opinion is, I feel like it's helpful to just glance at the passage and see the name circled and just quickly scan the words around the name to jog my memory. I'm not really for jotting down notes or doing any markings beyond the circling of the names that I do because I feel like I actually do worse when I do that, but idk.

On the (slightly over) 15 min break between PT 32 and 42 right now.
Yeah, but I remember when I took it, on the Brooklyn TC ticket, the room that they put was the room where everyone congregated for the pre-check in before they broke you up to go to your individual rooms.

Also I remember there being a lengthy discussion on the forums about whether it's permissible (by LSAC standards) to visit a TC lol.
Ok good to know. I think I heard that my TC last year split people up into a bunch of smaller rooms as well. It would be nice to have a bit more info though. I'm not sure if the ticket will just say the building or anything more specific. I guess I'll see.

I think that's right, but like, I mean, my TC is at my uni and the location for December was a building 5 min away where I've had 3 classes. So I figure I can afford to take the chance. (However, LSAC may be laying a trap for me as we speak, laughing at my naïveté....)

Gah. Got through half but not gonna finish PT 42 today. Completely brain-dead. Apparently three 4s PTs in one day is too much for my prefrontal cortex to handle. :?

I have zero experience with this, but maybe there's still something you can do?

If not, that does really suck. But three extra months could only help raise your score. Regardless - I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

Yeah, this is definitely not my regular schedule and the amount that I struggled shows that I definitely don't do this enough.

missed 4 on 32. -2 RC and -2 LR2 (one misbubbling.) Scary to be missing that many on an old PT.

Can anyone help me out with 32.4.20?
[+] Spoiler
D says "A c's accustomed style of learning should always dictate what method is used." Then P responds with "No, a child's accustomed style of learning should not *always* dictate what method is used." I interpreted that as "maybe sometimes but not always" (by proxy, not all children?) and crossed off B. I guess the rest of what P says would support that she thinks B?

How many sections should I beef my test up to? Doing 5 sections like the real test currently.. I am taking another PT tomorrow morning and will start then.

People sometimes do 6 section PTs, but I think general consensus is that should be done in moderation.
I've been doing 5 section for fresh PTs. My stamina's terrible so I haven't had the guts to do 6 sections (all the more reason why I should tbh.)

those who've done RC of superprep-A along with recent RC, how did your score in Pt-A's RC compare to recent ones?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
