3.5 hour flight to Denver that I should probably study during, but instead I'm having a bloody Mary or 3 to calm the nerves. I'll probably just read the Economist instead.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Feeling defeated and discouraged, but moving forward.
Took pt 64 yday. 147. Sigh. Horrid. Abysmal. Worst score so far.
lr was the worst, both sections
lg was the meh, not horrible (first two games were perfect, last two were not great)
rc was the best overall
I'm trying hard not to get down about it, but I've put SO. MUCH. TIME in. It has been my life for the last 10 weeks. Studying even on vacation. Time is nearing for this test (32 days) and I am starting to get really stressed out. If anything, I take it again in October. I just really don't want to have to...
I am aggravated bc more than half of the questions I missed, I second guessed and the one I DIDN'T pick was right.

If this is the case for more than half of what you got wrong, you're in a good place. Break down those questions for the next few days, look at what you missed (question type, game type, etc) and why. Replay the last two games.JaimeD15 wrote:Feeling defeated and discouraged, but moving forward.

You still have more than four weeks to go -- longer than many non-TLSers study at all. Don't get discouraged.
Now, all of that said, you may want to consider pushing back to October and not taking at all in June (I don't know the deadline, anyone help me out?). That gives you more time, and the shot at retakes in December and February, rather than burning one of your three takes before you're ready.
I feel like I should remember this: what are your goals?

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Goals are to get in somewhere for Fall 2016. I live in Maryland so I'm going to apply at UofMD, MAYBE some schools in DC, and Florida State (my alma mater). I just got an email from U of Baltimore and yah.. that's not an ideal place to be. I don't want to go to a school that will waste my time. So, while I'm not super selective - I am going to apply where it makes sense and see where the chips fall.TheProdigal wrote:If this is the case for more than half of what you got wrong, you're in a good place. If I can get to 160-163 even, I think I can do it; my GPA is a 3.5. I didn't even know I could only take it 3 times until you just said it and I read about it. I only WANT to take it a max of two times.

I had this same problem. The LSAT is way more engaging than anything I do in school.whacka wrote:Today's reading day at my school, which is just a one day gap between the last day of classes and the first day of exams. Although I have exams I should be studying for, I can't keep myself away from drilling LSAT stuff all day. I don't know what I'm going to do with my time when I (hopefully) finish the test next month

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Hi All!
I am struggling with with weakening and asssumption questions. Regardless of how i approach them.
What I find hard about Weakening questions is the limitation of the scope. How do I go about correcting that? The answer choice I pick is almost always out of scope.
For Assumption questions powerscore suggests negating the answer choice to verify its correctness, while Manhatan only recommends negating the answer choice for Nessary Assumption questions.
What do you find is the best way to approach both?
Thanks!

PT 63 did not hit 170s so my 10 point drop from a high of 175 is still maintained. (166 timed and 169 BR). This....is discouraging to say the least.

Wow, exactly 1 month out and the message board changes. State dependent learning fail TLS?

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
This layout is gross. It's like it's stuck in a poorly formatted mobile mode. (I wouldn't be surprised if they did this just because Google recently started penalizing sites that aren't mobile-friendly.)
Are these the "new features" the mods were talking about? lol
Note how (as far as I can tell) there are no new features, it just looks bad now.
With this and other recent changes, I guess we get to be part of the group that knew the "old TLS" before it went to shit, much like how people say Reddit and 4chan used to be good.
ETA: You can partially fix the layout! Go to the user control panel and under global settings switch from prosilver to the other option.

Thanks RZ. I'm not really a complainer but the new layout really does suck.

1. Yes this layout is awful. It goes from annoying on the index page, to slightly more annoying within each subforum to completely unbearable within a thread.
2. I'm all in on June.
