So in a span of roughly 4 hours today, I did 3 timed sections from PT 45.

LR2: 22/25
LG: 22/22
RC: 20/27

Desperate to fix my RC before game day.

Input?
I think that makes more sense for LG. I mean as much reviewing as you're doing I can't really see that being that instructive?

I don't save the questions, but I do note the question types. So if I go -3 on a section and it's two PR and an a flaw in the reasoning question, then I note that and make sure I drill on those question types the next day. I think it's a little more productive than repeating the question, just because I know that I tend to remember much more about LR and RC than I do about LG.

That moment when you realize you've been at the gym 3 1/2 hours by accident.

wow gj zac!! I'm officially jealous of you. I've never hit 175 :(

Just finished taking PT 70, in sections. Scored 171. Anyone else take this PT? S4 LR was extremely difficult and I ended up -5 on that section. I just want some reassurance that someone else found this section particularly difficult as well... :D Like S4 Q12...wtf.

I'm pretty exhausted, but going to try and do some RC and LR drills before finishing for the night! How's everyone else doing?

At some point I realized that I when I drilled questions twice (with a couple months in between) I would sometimes get the same question wrong, which is obviously not good. So, I actually started saving questions questions I got wrong during drilling to go over later to make sure I'm getting the concepts right. I wouldn't do anything special, I would quickly "make my own" drilling packets by screenshotting the questions I got wrong and pasting them into a word document with 3-4 questions on a page to print out. I only do this with LR. If a RC or LG gave me particular trouble I would just note the passage or game to reprint later.

I would suggest that you save all these questions in one place. Since you start school maybe you can look through them during your classes.

zacboro wrote:Thank you JackelJ, this is what I'm looking to do. My only thing is that I don't have PDFs, so I'll literally have to just go through old PT books to find them. But its okay because I'm going to make a day of it. A day I would spend on break if I didn't do this.
Yeah, I have a lot of them in books too. I sort of abandoned this for the questions in prep books once I realized I could just screenshot the pdfs I have. However, before I abandoned it for the prep books I was going to pay my brother a couple bucks to go through my books and retype any questions I got wrong and circled so I could redo them as if they were "fresh" and not waste study time to retype them. I don't know if you were thinking of retyping them or just looking over them but thats just one idea I considered.

Working my way through this Manhattan LR is taking a lot of time and longer than I'd hoped but I feel like this is far more useful than if k had just continued PTing and drilling wiyhout new methods. I may have to push back my next PT, but I really feel like this is worth it in the long run. I just wish I didn't have to work and go to school right now.

Because I have every PT in pdf format, I screenshot and crop any LR question that gives me trouble post-blind review in order to add it to a single Word document. Basically I'm making one big LR section of all the questions I've gotten wrong during full section drilling/PTs. I think this is going to be helpful when the last weeks rolls around when I want to really refine all my loose ends. As for passages and games that gave me trouble, I print out a copy of those and saving them for the last week as well. I'm probably not going to do the passages under 35 minute constraints but instead have an untimed "hell" RC section (Groupthink, Common law, inclusive fitness theory, etc.)

I cut out the LR questions I miss and tape them to the wall above my desk. The shame motivates me to study more.
