If not regional, what would you call it?Big Red wrote:Given that situation, I would/am retake/retaking. I think it's financially irresponsible not to given the particulars of my situation
(I don't think that I'm willing to call BU a regional)
And I don't expect them to drop that low, which is why I'd only use 167 for scholly

Thought about applying to GULC this year just cause but then GW flat out rejected me without even waitlisting and I figured I shouldn't waste the money.

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
Legitimate question (as opposed to my usual shitpoasting) - I'm retaking in June (3rd take). Do you think that getting MLSAT for LR (or even RC?) would be useful for me? I've already went through the Trainer (I will be doing this again for the June exam) and the Bibles (which I did not find particularly useful alongside the Trainer).
Strongest section is LG. Although, the Dec. test would suggest otherwise, since I went -6. But, brushing that off and will just be drilling harder this time around! My issues are in LR - I tend to overthink the questions, but it's clicking. I didn't drill for Sept. but I did in Dec., and that was great. Sometimes I'll go -4 combined, and sometimes I'll go -6 per section. Timing has not been an issue for me, as I always aim to finish every section in 35 minutes and tend to stick to that in practice. RC is a hit or miss for me. Before the Dec. exam, I was going -2 to -4 per section, sometimes -6 or 7, and I got a -8 in December.
Any advice would be appreciated. Maybe if the 3x takers are lurking the forums, please chime in!
Hope everyone's studying is going well!

Haha well I'm not you're average Texan. Family thinks I'm crazy when property value and COL is so much cheaper here, but I gotta get out of Texas, even if it's just for a few years. I guess I've still got the little small town kid in me dreaming of the big city and I wanna hold onto it, even though I'm from DFW.Dirigo wrote: Good for you, man. I wish you well. I think you're insane for targeting the Northeast just because it's so expensive and the weather sucks, but I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

I knew you'd get it Pep! It's just so hard to explain especially with the normal Texas mentality that it's the greatest state in the Union and no one should ever leave the South.peppermint wrote:

I love Dallas and I'd definitely go back to it in the future if it was the best option, bust I can't stand Austin or Houston haha. The only appeal they would have for me is proximity to the coast in Houston and the Texas government in Austin.ilikebaseball wrote:I love all of texas' big 3 markets too much to leave lol

MH LR is best, in my view, and quite easily. How do you do on BR? I think that's an important measure of how well you're understanding the concepts.Shakawkaw wrote:Legitimate question (as opposed to my usual shitpoasting) - I'm retaking in June (3rd take). Eta: closer to Mexico isn't too bad though like south padre. It's mostly Galveston and corpus that I'm talking about

I was referring to the closer to Mexico offshore fishing mostly. If you get out far enough in Galveston it's not too bad IMO but New England seafood is probably the best I've had. The Gulf of Mexico defining has trophy catches everywhere though.
Also that Houston legal market is amazing to me. I feel like Texas was really hit less by the recession compared to everyone else in nearly every market.
