Probably less than that, but I'll be sure to check in (even though this thread will be obsolete soon).

I think I will be here at least through prep and application periods. I might be here even later helping out others!Rigo wrote:Probably less than that, but I'll be sure to check in (even though this thread will be obsolete soon).

Sure. I meant keep posting in TLS, not necessarily this thread. All's well, friends. I checked with the mods, and the new sponsorship by TM doesn't mean that everyone else is banished from the LSAT Forum. But it does mean that I can't use the BP logo as my avatar. So I'm now accepting suggestions for a new tar.

Timing crept back up as an issue on PT 64 on Saturday. I haven't BR'd yet because I was annoyed with LSAT after that last PT. What have y'all done outside of timed PT's to improve timing? Timed sections from older PTs? That seems like a logical first step.

RZ#'s, 180 'tar suggestion *giggle giggle*. Going to assume you were silenced by the mods.

Yeah fucking censorship. It's pretty sad when you pay people to delete harmless jokes about you on an online forum, and it's even more pathetic that the mods are complicit in this. Nony and others have always seemed cool in the past, so it's sad to see them doing this now that money is involved. (For those of you who missed it, my joke was about the tamest thing imaginable and in no way worthy of censorship.)Shakawkaw wrote:So...are the mods unaware of the (de)merits of prohibition?BP Ben wrote:I'm baaaaaaack!Rigo wrote:Bye BP Ben.

What's next, banning people who use the Powerscore or 7sage methods instead of those from he-who-shall-not-be-named?
What's a good site to use as a lifeboat if this bullshit continues and TLS isn't worth using anymore?

I think this approach makes TestMasters seem very insecure about their own methods. Additionally, what is to stop people from alting and "advertising" other methods/prep materials from other companies? If I advocate the 7-sage method, am I looking at a ban? Are the mods going to comb through the on topic threads and remove mention of other materials? I bet Rigo has been working for Mike Kim all along!

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
I'll probably be postponing. I want a consistent 45+/50 on LR, 22+/28 on RC, and 20+/22 on LG before taking the test
Summer schedule:
7 Hours of drilling/reviewing per week
1-2 PTs per week + BR (not gonna bother with extra sections until mid-late August)

Who is taking June?
I tried to make a poll but it's screwed up somehow and keeps throwing in random options from previous polls.

I guess there's like three or four of us?
PT 64: Timed: 166, BR: 171 (did not BR RC).
I knew I did poorer on this test than the more recent tests because my environment was distracting and I did not finish any section on time other than 1 LR (-1). Blah. Not a good dip this close to doomsday,

I'm taking the June. Did PT 56 today, still doing them untimed. Think I am finishing sections in around 35-40 mins each. Struggle with some add/fidgeting. Had the same issue on the MCAT 2 years ago

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
took a PT today and scored a 165, which definitely feels in the right direction for me. still, my goal of a 170 seems soooooooo far away and June 8th is a month away. i hope all my shirking of duties at work don't give me any heat while i prioritize all this studying.
i've realized that i'm almost guaranteed to completely miss the questions that rely on inferences you draw from All/Most/Some type conditional logic. I don't know what it is, but it's just not clicking. I've read the Manhattan Prep chapter at least 3-5 times already. Does anyone else have any tips or resources (preferably free) to look at?

Still Manhattan-based, but: https://www.manhattanprep.com/lsat/foru ... ng-f4.html
I found these extremely useful in the final days before February when reviewing PTs; while occassionally lacking on a question or two they're generally phenomenally useful for walking through the question and approaches.

Dude if you have questions by type, use those for untimed drilling instead of actual sections. It will help you focus on one issue at a time, and you'll want real sections later for speed work.equang wrote:I'm taking the June. Did PT 56 today, still doing them untimed. I would always take PT's timed if I were you. You're only one month out so now's the time to properly address timing and become very aware of your pacing.equang wrote:I'm taking the June. Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
anyone gets why 56.LR1.8 choice A is wrong? it appears to weaken because if "most" boulders are moved by glaciers not more than 100 miles then the boulder in stimulus is less likely to be deposited by the glacier. the same reasoning has been used in Q3 of the same section (56.LR1.Q3) to weaken, which has B as the credited answer.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
But you need the AC that most weakens. AC A leaves open the possibility that it was a rare 100+ mile boulder, while D makes it impossible that it was brought by a glacier, since the glaciers move things from the north to the south. A and D both weaken, but D harms the argument more.appind wrote:anyone gets why 56.LR1.8 choice A is wrong? it appears to weaken because if "most" boulders are moved by glaciers not more than 100 miles then the boulder in stimulus is less likely to be deposited by the glacier. the same reasoning has been used in Q3 of the same section (56.LR1.Q3) to weaken, which has B as the credited answer.

the test instructions say most weakens to only be on the safe side. in reality, only one choice weakens on wkn qs and one choice strs on str qs.RZ5646 wrote:But you need the AC that most weakens.
