Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
Took PT 52 (retake) today. I first took this back in July and got a 144 (lulz)
LR1: 24/25
LG: 22/23
LR2: 22/25
RC: 20/26 (finished with a few mins left...so probably could've have finished that omitted question if it was the real deal)
169
I planned out the rest of my PT schedule until the 7th and I have PT's: 67, 72, 68, 73, 74, 71, and 69 tentatively planned over the next 3 weeks.

Baseball where do you go to undergrad/where are you from? I see all the Dallas team attire and I'm just curious. Don't have to disclose if you don't wanna!

Done for the day. Getting up at 6:30am to prepare for the weekly Saturday test woooo
Re-read the Manhattan LR chapter on inference questions, then did 2 timed sections of games, 1 LR, and 1 RC, blind reviewing everything.
LG1 [PT 54]: -1/-0
LG2 [PT 55]: -1/-0
LR [PT 55]: -4/-3
RC [PT 55]: -6/-3
Feels like I'm improving and becoming more consistent everyday. Feels good man

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
I've determined my goal is 85 correct questions. -0 LG -6 RC and a combined -11 LR. If I get this goal, but the curve is not in my favor, I will still be satisfied. I know I won't be able to actually see this when my score comes out but that's what I'm aiming for.

Definitely not. If I was a settler I'd be content with my Dec score, move on with life, and probably not be on this forum rn lol. I'm going to KO the LSAT in February and submit applications accordingly.Dirigo wrote:Dude m27, you have so much potential. Please don't settle.
On the 15 min break now. Best part of the test ever

Re: The Official February 2015 Study Group
I set my timers for 32 min for LR, 30 in LG, and 34 in RC. The times I put are what I finish them inzacboro wrote:BBall - when you put the times next to your sections, are you saying that this is when you finished out of a 35 minute section, or this is when you set your timer for?
Also, just finished my testing for the day, just BR left (which is the longest part). Totally fucked up in RC with timing, like really bad. I went into the last 7 question passage with only 7 minutes left (this is before even reading it!) Still though, I feel some kind of understanding with the questions and while I was super rushed I still feel like I didn't have to guess too roughly... I used way too much time for the first and third passages... Ughh. Also, I actually read a rule wrong in a LG today and it made me go -2. I do believe though that it was purely because I rushed myself so I could come back to a rule substitution question I previously skipped (Noting my official loyalty to the "I-hate-RS-Qs" club). I only got around 5 hours of sleep last night, and it wasn't very sound sleep so maybe that's why today is a little off. Hoping BR goes a little better than this.
Eta: Zac I also sometimes, especially on the actual test day) struggle with RC, but since I implemented my timing strategy, I never have struggled with it. You don't have to but I thought I'd let you know
I set my watch on RC for 25 minutes. I make sure I finish the first 3 in 25, so then I have 9 left (10 actually, but I make myself go for 34). My first test, I got to the end of the 3rd passage questions, and my proctor called out the 5 minutes warning. So I freaked out. I didn't know what to do, so I didn't even read the last passage and sorta blindly guessed on all. I missed 5 from the last passage alone.
The worst thing one can do about RC is not even have enough time to READ the passages. So if you get to 25 or 26 minutes without having started the 4th one, I think the best decision is to just move on from where you're at and come back to it. There are always gimme questions on every passage, and I don't think its worth missing those Cuz you couldn't even read it.
Just my .02. It's helped me soooo much.
