I'm 33 (!!!) with a husband and 2 kiddos, and plan on just applying to schools in my area. It's a long-held dream and I'm FINALLY going for it. I'm former military - tuition to a public school is covered, so I figure I have nothing to lose (other than time, brain power, self esteem, etc., ha!). I also split the board into sub game boards. But after plugging in the rules, I was only able to get 3 valid scenarios! Ugh, hopefully I accidentally did not plug in a rule wrong and mistakenly crossed out valid sub game boards.texasellewoods wrote:You're right!! It easily split into four different scenarios that could be used for all the questions. I think a lot of people - myself included - just didn't realize that at first and tried to force our way through a bunch of different set ups and lost time/got frazzled that way.cheeseee wrote:Guys, I'm kinda freaking about LG right now. I thought the third one wasn't too bad. I just split the board into four? boards and then just went through the questions and put in the variables.
Did I misread the rule? It shouldn't have been simple??? I'm worried

Thank you! I served 4, and my husband served 9 until he was injured in Afghanistan (medically retired). Haha, sorry to ramble on about things that have nothing to do with the LSAT. I'm with the majority on the third game...

Also, I'm sure you did fine on the LSAT. Just keep your mind of it, enjoy time with the kiddos, and post with us in this thread!'

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
According to this, October LSAT release date was a consistent 3 days early from 2004-2009 and has been 2 days since 2010. I'm guessing 2 days it is. My money's on the 26th. The 23rd for sure won't work with it being the last day of registration. Unless they want to be Angels and give it to us even earliercurry1 wrote:http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/bid/153 ... -2004-2014

It hasn't even been a full 24 hours and I'm already having an existential crisis. No more school, LSAT prep, operas, and marathons? Just my job until August 2016? This is too much too soon.

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
Took the day off from visiting here except some light browsing on my phone while eating Subway after the test haha.. man was I ever bummed coming out of there though. On LG 3 I read "Nonconsecutive" as "Consecutive" which obviously drastically altered my understanding of the game. Knew something was up when I couldn't eliminate answers but was running out of time so I moved on, finished the last game and then came back only to realize my mistake with maybe 30 seconds left, and only got to change 1 out of 5 or 6 questions on that game.
After going my whole prep only missing at most 2 on LG and usually only 1 or 0, this put a real damper on an otherwise pretty solid feeling test. Could easily be taking me from the mid- to high-end of my range to the low or lower even.
Sorry for the sad post haha, just needed to vent / share. What a stupid mistake to make, I'm not sure if it was the pressure of it being the real deal, sloppiness, or a bit of both but it has probably killed my pipe-dream of a nice scholly down there to the U.S. and will keep me here in Canada should I ever decide to do law school

not theugg, but yes. There were both. s/he probably means the one that was consecutive wasn't diagrammed as such, or that the one that wasn't consecutive wasn't diagrammed as such.theugg wrote:Wait but weren't there both, 204W?

Waiter from Asia checking in!
Does anyone know where I can find out which sections were real from the Asian version?

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
I think I need to start being open to changing my diagraming methods. Actually listing all scenarios out before the questions (the 7Sage way - which I resist doing - I like to make individual diagrams for each question as I go along) might help me out when I recognize I am facing the hardest game...RZ5646 wrote:Actually there are 6 scenarios, unless the other rules restricted it further. Can't remember. But I think it was definitely a hard game and meant to be hard. Historically, the third game usually is the hardest one.rmye87 wrote:in retrospect, the 3rd game i think was meant to be visually difficult but actually an easy game
... there's like 4 scenarios
which means the entire games section was supposed to be crazy easy

This may be a stupid question, but here it goes. If the lsat is pre-equated, why is there a one month delay until scores are released? Is it due to the fact that there are people writing non disclosed versions of the test in other countries and for religious reasons ( sabbath observers, for example.) and the lsat just puts a hold in everything?
I can't see it just being the logistics of having tests shipped back for correcting.
Is there something I am missing?

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
There were both - I read both of them as "Consecutive" though instead of one of each. I think I saw the letter, then when I looked back I looked at the wrong line and read Consecutive instead of Nonconsecutive. Or I just misread lol. Either way I have four marks there that are completely up in the airDanimals18 wrote:not theugg, but yes.
