higher doses makes you wake up?
There was a really good post on it either ITT or somewhere else on TLS... if you find it can you link it for me maybe?

nope, and if you see anyone try to use them on test day you have a TLS obligation (agreed upon @ account creation) to observe and report back

For drilling I use mechanical (which is what I'm doing today as you can see cuz I'm using the Difficult Questions packet. But PT's I only use ticons. I'm just trying to take LR slow and steady today since these questions are pretty tough. Not worrying about anything else

what? who said that? lol

and if you haven't taken the test before, you probably don't realize how important it is. On test day, whether you like it or not, you'll be a bit different. On PT's, sometimes you can just circle an AC and move on, because in the back of your mind you're thinking "I'll definitely review this one after to make sure my thought process was correct."

On test day, you dont get to do this. You're thinking along the lines of "wow, if i miss this, I'm gonna drop an entire point and may not get into top choice law school." You are FAR more deliberate. Which is why I, personally, think the 32 minute section thing is so beneficial. The 3 decreased minutes serve as the "extra deliberation time" you'll inevitably be taking on gameday. There is NO way to simulate test conditions perfectly, but if you make PT conditions as tough as possible, test conditions will seem a bit easier.

I don't think you should "hire people to PT around you." That's a bit outlandish. But, testing in less than ideal conditions, having quicker section times, taking more than 5 sections, testing with smaller curves, etc is a great way to simulate it imo. Prepare for the absolute worst. Make gameday as smooth as possible.

I think it's pretty fair to say the two main reasons people drop points are 1) lack of sleep or 2) not being ready for test conditions. Like, if you haven't been using an answer sheet and factoring in that time/process, it's going to affect you. Like, if you've been giving yourself 20 minutes bt. section 3/4 or taking 5 minutes from section to section, it's going to affect you. If you haven't taken the test in a weird room with a loud AC or something, it might affect you. If you haven't woken up at 6:30 and gone through the routine, it might affect you.

That example is a tad extreme lol. But I do think it's a good move to take practice exams in a library, or in some other quiet, but not completely quiet place. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Believe it or not, in the beginning of my prep I only used mechanical pencils and when I switched over to ticons it was a huge difference (for me at least). Mainly because they dull quicker and not as neat as mechanical pencils, especially for logic games. As a result I only use my smexy ticons

Does economist really help those that use it? Like, can you honestly say that it has helped you increase your RC score? Because there are no questions. It seems to me like its just dense passages. i just dont see how this could help THAT much with the material.

Honest opinions lol. I dont wanna shell out the money and read them everyday for 21 days if it isn't that helpful.

I mean that's going to start a discussion because it comes off as, 'just PT in your room and you'll be fine.' Honestly, I've found pretty much all the "tls hivemind" stuff about studying for the lsat to be sound - and if I do score better in Feb I feel like I owe it to the board to make sure the good advice is what's highlighted on the board.

its not a big deal or anything. I was more along the lines of trying to help you in case you WERENT trying to simulate them. If you are, you're fine.
