tbh, I've never really noticed a change in difficulty for RC. I think it totally depends on the person. Whenever it entails artsy fartsy stuff, I tend to struggle. If it has to do with like, animals or history or something, I'm usually fine.

Doing LR review, and in the middle I decided to take a look at my december test score breakdown. I truly thought that LR was where I struggled most, but after looking at it more closely, i actually hit where i want my target to be. That could be simply because of an easy LR test, or it could be that I'm overemphasizing how bad i am. I went -8... which is sorta on the higher end of where I wanna be (-9 or lower). I missed MORE on RC than I thought, and I'm still far away from my goal there. As for LG, it seemed to give everyone trouble that day. The only possible way I get my score is if I go -2 or less on LG. If I go perfect on LG, and -6 or fewer on RC, I'll hit my goal.

So, i just need an RC tutor, it looks like. My timing on RC is okay (33-34 min) I just can't seem to get it below -6 consistently enough. I'll have 3 PTs in a row below it and 2 PTs at 8-10. I do the "Most Difficult Passages" packet, but this is my 3rd time going through them. What else could I do to get better? I know that everyone, including myself, just says keep doing them over and over and over, but I appear to have hit a wall. Someone who gets like 3 or fewer please help me out lol

I definitely don't get -3 or less but maybe try to do some outside reading and treat it like an RC passage. Economist/NYT/etc.

now that you mention it, I havent used that Z quil in about 3 weeks (gross, I know). But I actually have this spray that you spray in your mouth. Its melatonin that you don't swallow. Apparently, the body absorbs more through the mouth in liquid form than it does via pills or swallowing anything. But, ever since I started using the melatonin spray, I haven't had one night (knock on wood) where I didn't get adequate sleep. If you know me, you know this is a historic discovery. In December before the LSAT, I got to sleep at 3 and woke up at 6 30.

I'm actually trying to find melatonin that comes in either 1g or .5g doses since anything higher wakes me up in the middle of the night, but so far no luck.

Feel really bad for people who test on like 3 hours

How do you all keep your desks so empty and neat? I can't even see the bottom of my desk right now, its covered with books and papers and things
maybe thats why I haven't been studying as much...

drill baby drill

(translation: i have the death flu and can't go to the library to do full length PTs, so i'm alternating timed sections with targeted drilling and making my way through the Manhattan LR. hopefully this goes away soon so i have the energy for full length PTs again :( )

The one moment of happiness I had on test day was when I woke up and realized I'd actually gotten a solid 6 hours. I think I was like :o for a minute as I stared at my alarm clock. I got maybe an hour of sleep the night before the SATs. Thank you melatonin+sleeping like 3 hours the night before then going on a four mile run!
