My life feels so empty without the waiter's thread

Not gonna lie, I went on a super fucking awk dating app date last night and I told a friend about it and then I wanted to tell the waiter's thread but like the waiter's thread doesn't really exist

well the highlight (low light) was after not vibing at all we're walking on the street at the end of the night and he like lunges in for a kiss as we're walking and as he does it he's like "can I go in for the ----" and I like did a back bend

This leads me to believe that homie just isn't that good at dates in general if he thinks the kiss is like allowed even following an apparently mediocre evening at best. Dating app dates can be pretty hit or miss, but at least you tried!

Even if this is an exaggeration, I have never ever ever, not even at my deepest, darkest, poorest days, even suggested splitting a check. If you're planning on taking a lady out, you basically just have to factor that in as a sunk cost

To me it sounds like he's never been on a date before, or has and he's just.. inexperienced? Idk, I mean, I get that splitting the check if it's a rather large bill is the right thing to do in certain cases. But personally if it's the first date, I would pay for it myself and if my date insists on paying a part then so be it, but personally I would pay it all myself. That is, if my date harasses me about paying for a part, idk haha. Definitely wouldn't make myself look like an ass in front of the woman by insisting on 2 separate checks though, like what lol.

You'll find this funny later: Since getting my June LSAT score I have applied for and been accepted to my JD program. I managed to complete that before LSAC would give you your score.
