I think you should take a step back and gather a little perspective. 171 is not only a great score, it's an anomaly. You scored in the highest 1% of test-takers on a standardized evaluation administered to college students and graduates who are seeking entry into an academically rigorous profession. The score you've received is nothing short of miraculous, and being "sorely disappointed" in what you've received is likely going to be detrimental moving forward if you choose to retake.

It's that it's not enough to get me to where I want to go. 10+ years ago, a 162 with a good GPA was enough to get people to HLS. Now, I have friends who scored a 169 who barely made it into the Top 14.
I hear ya. My Uncle looked like he wanted to kill me when I told him I was unhappy with a 167 and would only have a chance at the bottom of the top 14 if only because of a good gpa. "I have a friend that makes good money and he went to Suffolk Law!" he said.

Any updates? The suspense is too much.
LEL, you're telling me!

The only update is that there is no update, LSAC says the review will be done when it's done. Thanks LSAC, for keeping me in the loop.

Clearly this waiter's thread needs to be revived for the sake of myself and Jeeves who will be returning from his Euro trip to this sad purgatory imminently.
Pretzel<3 Jeeves<3

Out of curiosity, pretzel, you and Jeeves took the test at the same place? Or am I not remembering things correctly?
Yep, not only were we in the same center but also the same room <3 Think I'd be going even more batshit right now had the universe not brought Jeeves and I together
Whoa that's crazy! Wish I would've seen a TLSer on test day.. I would've definitely went to drink with them afterwards!
Haha well we didn't know until after the fact, only thanks to this proctor shit.

Like ships passing in the night!
:D that's still crazy af. Fate doe.

I have a friend whose aunt went to Touro Law and she makes a very good living. But she went there SOOO long ago, and the legal market is just different now.

afaik the hold is usually 5-10 days. it's possible that you may receive it this week
Yeah I mean, in response to the original complaint they said reviews usually take 2-3 weeks but could take more. It's been over 4 now.

It's just a bit baffling...they had multiple (who knows how many) test takers report that this happened. Regardless of the proctor's response, there isn't much investigating to be done. If he says it didn't happen, they can either believe us or believe him.

It's the uncertainty that is a problem. If they would even tell me what week or month they were going to be done, I would be able to hang with that. But they refuse to tell me a single thing about it.

Their monopoly is insane; I have no recourse to hold them accountable for their ineptitude and poor customer service. Unreal

tbh i wouldn't count on good "customer service" from an organization that makes a test that is dry and designed to fool customers into trap answer choices

but srsly the incompetent proctors in case such as this expose LSAC to legal liability. the stakes in terms of time spent and future rewards for applicants are very high and are easily impacted by bad time keeping by proctors

imo if more than one test takers report the very similar story and details, then there is more reason to believe the test takers than the proctor, provided lsac wants to be fair

but not sure if they'll be fair in such case because the cost for them to be so is too high

This is seriously the worst part. It's not like we can say fuck it and take the LACT instead.

idk i guess that these kinds of screw ups happen pretty rarely but still lsac's death grip over ls admissions makes them totally free to address the situation as terribly as they want.

I think you should take a step back and gather a little perspective. 171 is not only a great score, it's an anomaly. The score you've received is nothing short of miraculous, and being "sorely disappointed" in what you've received is likely going to be detrimental moving forward if you choose to retake.

What's more, being "sorely disappointed" in a score that many on this board would kill for is staggeringly tone-deaf.
Highest 2%. If 171 was 1%, I would have been beyond the moon. It's not that I have any problem with the score itself. It's that it's not enough to get me to where I want to go. 10+ years ago, a 162 with a good GPA was enough to get people to HLS. Now, I have friends who scored a 169 who barely made it into the Top 14.

Posts like these scare me. I got a 166, 3.85, and Cuban (mixed reviews on if this is URM or not). Do I have any chance for a T6 or do I need to retake? According to myLSN my chances all depend on if I qualify for URM or not.
Sorry, further context should be given (on my part). My GPA is a 3.8 (3.7988, to be exact). 3.85 GPA should help you out greatly.
